I remember one guy telling me that Jeffers would be a better signing than Beattie - and that their end of season goal tally would speak for itself.

That was the season that Beattie scored more goals than Jeffers played games in.

Craig Beattie would have been a better signing than Jeffers.

Laws has his excuse for getting rid of a useless ,always injured player that he should never have signed in the first place what was he thinking?

I remember Pig fans coming out with that tripe. Its amazing to think that Jeffers was once signed by Arsene Wenger.

I took a pig up on the offer of exactly that bet. Strangely, I've not heard from him for a long while now :D

I bet my mate that Sharp would score more tha him. 2 seasons running i've won and he welched out on both bets!

The funniest thing is that, true to his football ability, he couldn't even deliver a head-butt accurately, resulting in a self-inflicted wound to go with his red card.

Oh, the ignomony. It could only happen to the Comedy Club. Hilarious.

Did anybody hear his apology on sky sports news, they really rubbed it in about this behavior being appalkng and how these incidents affected how children behaved in their football. All of a sudden the telephone line went quite and Jeffers said " like I said I'm sorry about my actions" and then put the phone down!

I felt embarrased for him!

Laws, "We have therefore enforced the heaviest punishment available with immediate effect and transfer listed the player."

Surely keeping him is a heavier punishment

Good excuse to get wage off the books and adopt the high moral ground without upsetting the Swillsborough Massive.

They haven't taken the moral high ground at all.

Its obviously so appalling that they've transfer listed him, meaning that he can still play for the club and they'll no doubt demand a fee for any transfer... as well as giving him a wage after his 2 week fine has gone.

After the Battle of the lane, didn't we immediately sack Patrick Suffo?

Listening to Laws on Wendy Heaven he's been looking for an exit gate for Jeffers for some time - now he has the ammo:hello::hello::hello:

What an embarrassment that lard arse is.

Our Chairman engages with the fans at matches, personally through phone calls and the occassionaly Q and A, this flid does it via pigstalk and facebook.

ffff ... snigger ...fffff oooking hell man.

sorry to hog 2 posts one after another, but I also heard this cringeworthy apology on ssn.

I was confused as to why he felt the need to go on national telly and explain why he tried to head butt a fellow proffessional.

He's as daft as he is ugly.

What a laugh that club is.

I remember when Wenger signed him, and I bet my cousin Jeffers would be a better signing than Van Nistelrooy at his beloved Man U......... D'oh
