Our attacking pace has halved in the last few months and we're not changing the angle of our attacks. Our system has rightly been praised, but we're going wide too often. I keep saying it but the problem we have is that Basham, Stevens and Baldock are the ones delivering the final ball. With Brooks out, Duffy or Holmes have to start for me otherwise out midfield is too one-dimensional.

Baldock has been very good recently to be fair, but I agree with the rest.

I think it times tonight was some of his best play. We just need to tweak the system to get our better attacking threats delivering the killer ball. We're a bit hoof at the moment but I don't know whether that's a confidence thing

In games when we struggle to carve through teams with neat passing we need more players with the ability to get past players with pace and skill. I'd look for a quicker, more attacking option to Stevens, even if it's mainly a super-sub to throw on late in games.

Not sure if go with the hoof bit, in fact id say we are the polar opposite.

Most of the time when we have the ball after winning it back from the opposition it takes us an absolute age to get the ball up to the final third as we piss about with it tipping and tapping it about. Now it's easy on the eye and it looks nice and controlled as we pass it from side to side and across the pitch but there is a definite lack of breaking with pace. We take our time, allow the opposition to filter back and all get back into their defensive positions and then when they are set, we try and break them down by trying to thread the ball through an eye of a needle. It's like we have turned into the championships equivalent of Arsenal.

We really need to get the ball up to our attackers quicker. What service did Clarke, Wilson and Clayton get tonight?

One of the few times we actually broke with pace we scared em - Baldocks shot in the first half which their keeper saved well. Other teams have worked us out at the Lane. As they get numbers back and wait for us to do crab football passing side to.side all in front of them and not getting in behind them by breaking at pace.

Too pedestrian Utd. Quicken the attacks up or our home form and results will cost us this season.

Maybe hoof is a bit strong but I've certainly seen an increase in aimless punts up field. I think our fearless attacking play has taken a hit and become tentative.

Been saying that for weeks. Let’s hope Brooks is back soon.
