We are bombarded by noise everywhere we go. Yesterday on the train from Harrogate to Leeds I was surrounded by Leeds fans talking loudly, laughing raucously, the whole thing punctuated by bottles and cans being dropped into the waste bin adjacent to me.

On the Leeds to Sheffield train it was the turn of some adolescent Huddersfield fans who repeatedly chanted about one of their heroes, throwing in frequent obscenities which lead to the tannoy announcement asking them to cut out the bad language because there were women and young children on board. After looking up the Huddersfield first team and management, I still couldn't work out who they were referrring to.

Went into Wagamamas and was bombarded with loud music so much so that each time the waiter spoke to me they had to repeat themselves. I have a bit of tinnitus but my hearing is pretty good ( I think!).

Before the game I stood 6 inches away from my friend with each of us bellowing in each others' ears to make ourselves heard. No social distancing possible.

No it's not just you mate.
It is ridiculously, unbearably, stupidly loud. I cannot for the life of me think who/why anyone would decide that the volume level is right as it is.
I'd go as far as to say, you would need to offer ear protection in the workplace if it was industrial noise.
Absolutely barking.

Annoying is a pain, blasting out, in recent times what with all the covid and other bugs around you're left screaming at the bloke alongside you just to have a conversation, crank it up as the players come out, yes, but from 2,15 to 2,55 turn it down
