Long term sufferer - Ever optimist
From management team to everyone who has played a major part this season, you have to take ownership this evening and use it to power you on in the play-offs.
Another blade on here hit the nail on the head quite a while back and nothing has really changed. We haven’t been prolific as such… we’ve done enough for large parts of the season in order to put ourselves in contention, but there has been far too many games of very fine margins. They could have gone either way and at many times we held on to points, likewise we failed to on occasions. You are very fortunate if that sort of form carries you all the way…. And well, it hasn’t has it!
This season isn’t a write off just yet and this team still have the opportunity to succeed and to break voodoo’s / make history for the club. To enter the mini cup of the play-off is shit, but it isn’t out of our remit… it will require a very positive mind shift though. 3 games on par with the Coventry game the other week would take us very close to promotion, yet lacklustre showings like the Oxford and Plymouth games won’t even carry us to Wembley.
But honestly own it!…. Go away knowing that third position is ours and recharge now. Rest whoever and work hard on the assets and failings of the main play-off contenders. You have throw away a positive position over the last month, but you have the opportunity to redeem yourselves and still achieve something.
Put the effort in and you will have every single fan behind you!
