I like the pic of all our famous young players of recent times that have gone onto have great careers further down their timelines.
Me too but I'd far rather they'd had great careers at the Lane. Those pictures:
Harry Maguire: sold at 21 for £2.5m (+£3m sell on)
Matthew Lowton: sold at 23 for £3m
Dominic Calvert-Lewin: sold at 19 for £1.5m
Kyle Walker: sold at 19 for £3m (+£4.9m sell on)
Michael Tonge: sold at 25 for £2m
Phil Jagielka: sold at 24 for £4m, brought back at 36 on a free
Billy Sharp: sold at 19 for £100k, bought back at 21 for £2m, sold at 24 for £1.2m, bought back at 29 for £500k

More appealing to youngsters if they see more famous players rather than a Leon Clarke.

I admit we didn’t have much choice with Maguire

but I believe Maguire is the most expensive defender ever sold and Kyle Walker in in the top 5 (at £80m and £56m respectively). Makes what we ended up getting for them look pretty poor in retrospect.

same for DCL who’s now an England regular. Though again finances dictated he was going to have to be sold at the time. But I guess everyon could fetch 50m+ if they wanted to sell.

Imagine if wendy had a pic of all there's that came through to go on to big things. It might look a little bit like this:

Oh great - now you've saved them the job of putting it together themselves. 😆 😆 😆

Well they did have Jamie Vardy on their books when he was 15, still claim him as one of their own even though he never even managed a reserve outing!

Reminds me of when we signed Tongey this, seem to recall he was about 16 when released by Man U.
