Returned the other weekFaxon is injured. Hasn't played since going off in the 12th minute of the 21s match against Huddersfield on September 22nd.
Why bother? Davies is fine. He'll not win you points but he's perfectly adequate to get us through to the end of the season.
Then you play Faxon. We aren't in a position to pay for three senior goalkeepers. And if he gets injured/sent off?
And if he gets injured/sent off?
We'd sign an emergency loanee. Probably Dieng. Then you play Faxon. We aren't in a position to pay for three senior goalkeepers.
Even if we do give Faxon a chance we'd not want to put the next kid (Hewitson?) on the bench.True. Forgot that option. I'd be against it as I'd rather we our hand were forced into giving Faxon an opportunity - especially with the season being all but over.
If he does, I'm pretty sure we qualify for an emergency loan owing to Faxon's age.And if he gets injured/sent off?
I’d take him to Skegness so I could push him in the sea.George Long? Doubt he'd come back, even on an emergency loan if it came to that, but I'd take him.
If he does, I'm pretty sure we qualify for an emergency loan owing to Faxon's age.
Jagielka? Is there anyone available worth considering?

Ah right, fair enough. No, because we couldn’t register them anyway as we’ve already registered 25 senior players.
We could get an emergency loan, but it has nothing to do with Faxon’s age. Faxon doesn’t qualify as a professional goalkeeper as per the emergency loan rules definition of a professional goalkeeper.
Still much better than calamity JaneFraser Forster is the only one who you might consider. But I always think if a player is a free agent in November then there's probably good reason for it. I'd imagine at 37 going on 38 he's considering retirement.

Does it even matter at this point? We aren't going up and we aren't going downe will cost us goals, let's just hope we can put more in at the other end than he costs us.
Sadly, it doesn't appear we will have much choice!
His performance at QPR reinforces that view, hopefully he settles down for the next few gamesPersonally I don't think he's fine at all, he flaps, misses crosses and makes rash decisions. He will cost us goals, let's just hope we can put more in at the other end than he costs us.

Paddy Kenny.
