Could be argued we should wait until January but by then it may be too late.

Fraser Forster would be the most realistic upgrade imho. Hell I'd even drag Ben Foster off his podcasting coach rather than play Davies.

Hope Wilder considers this and that the board makes some funds available for a limited short-term deal for someone.

Fraser Forster is the only one who you might consider. But I always think if a player is a free agent in November then there's probably good reason for it. I'd imagine at 37 going on 38 he's considering retirement.

1) Jean (Who?) but has the name of a tea-lady so be quite amusing being announced, Brazilian left footer (could be interesting heart palpitations with that)
2) Tom Glover (Name is made for the job!) - To be fair he was back up at Boro and he is 6ft 5, wouldn't completely rule him out on a free especially aged 27

Faxon is supposed to be highly rated, so throw him in. We’ve had a few highly rated young keepers who’ve been third choice and never actually got a run or made it at the club. The likes of Eastwood and Amissah proved they weren’t good enough with their subsequent career moves, so maybe Faxon will go the same way, but he can’t be any worse than Davies.

Having seen Faxon play quite a few times, I reckon he would be ok at Champ' level. I just wouldn't want to throw him in behind the current shitshow of a side!!
