Are you suggesting as summer signings? We need a CB now..

Lascelles would be a beast in the Championship... However he's been out for 9 months with his cruciate ligaments.
Would Newcastle want to plan him out to build him back up? Maybe.

Keane - started 9 games this season for Everton.
Currently making the bench. No way they'd let him out on loan.

I know, I know, it's a "highlight video".
But ive just watched one of his on YouTube and he's now my number 1 choice!!
I've been banging on about him for a while now, he's everything we need...and only 26...and out of contract in the summer.

We're off our heads if we don't test them with an early bid tomorrow

loan to buy was my thought to be honest
If they're out of contract in the summer, why would we need to buy? If we were going to sign one of them, then just wait for their contract(s) to run down during a loan, and sign on a free surely?

Where's the loan come into it then? Because you did say:

So we're doing a loan-to-buy, all during the course of January?

If we were going to go for one of these two, we could loan to the summer, and sign them on a free once their contract expires

Would we and could we get a loan of Johnny Evans for the rest of the year. Souttar was our organiser. Anel and JLT can let their emotions get the better of them. His experience could be an asset on the remainder of the season.

Keane is a nightmare, rather have Norrington Davies

I know we’re all bitterly disappointed with the Souttar situation. But personally, I would prioritise a midfield enforcer type player try and dominate the middle of the park again. With Vini missing our midfield too easily breached, so someone to break up play and dictate the pace would also offer much more protection to a beleaguered back line.

have to agree about midfield peck and davies have both done well for us but their not the answer hamer needs to be in there for a kick off with souza and a new signing

Two words.

Harry Darling.
Would step straight into the Captain role. Just sayin' like...
