Man United fans were singing Waterfall constantly when they were away at Fulham t'other day, was actually really impressive.

I always like a chant that's a based on something more modern, a nice change of pace away from Lonnie Donegan's greatest hits haha

While it's a great song, I'm not sure something 30 years old can really be considered modern!

Compared to the usual stuff it's positively brand new haha

I was watching a war film from the mid 50s the other week and the Navy were singing a song we sing, though which escapes me now which is really annoying me, but you'd have to imagine it was period accurate, so they were singing it in the 40s, maybe 30s.

If I had the wings of a sparrow...
This was an old Scotland against England ditty but I haven't heard it for years.

I was down at the game yesterday and was down at the corner of the Kop when the "Programmes 3 quid" stuff started.
Is this an every home game event or did I witness history in the making? :D

I even saw (and heard) the bloke on his pitch outside the ground.

Before my time, but did other clubs have their own version of Far and Wide? Like to think of that one as our own!
We travel far and wide,
London to Merseyside
There is only one place we wanna be
And that is Shoreham St where it is magnifique,
Where all the Wednesday fans lay dead at our feet!
Na Na Na Na Na Na etc

Might have...don’t know.

I’ll tell you a true story, in the 2005 season this Wednesday fan at work was singing the praises of the Hull City fans.
It was a night match in league 1 and they were going for promotion having about 4,000 fans on the Leppings Lane end.
He told me they are singing this fantastic song called “cos I can’t help falling in love with you”, said he’d never heard of it before but this new song was really impressive.

Had to tell him we used to sing it regularly in the 80;s, along with some other clubs.

I bet he said "No you didn't cos you ant got no fans"

That was it's debut, I think.

Don't know if it's unique to us, and I can't say I've ever heard us sing it at match anyway, but I love;

"I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler, I'm a long way from home
I'll follow United from Sheffield to Rome
I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm dry
And I'll follow United till the day that I die"

Ohh we are the Sheffield United
We're playing the red white and black
Something something
Something something
Division One we're coming back!
and we are so proud
To shout it out loud
Then whatever division is appropriate
