Did you know that we have only lost once to Swindon in the last 18 league games?
This was a 1-2 defeat in February 1997.
Their previous victory to this was in August 1987.
We have won 9,drawn 8 and only lost 1 in 18,2 of these games played in the premiership in August 1993,a 3-1 home win(Falconer,Bradshaw,Rogers) and December 1993 a 0-0 away draw.
We have never failed to score against Swindon at home since 1908 :)

I remember us playing them on 13th Dec about 16 years ago. Won 2-1 Saunders with a late goal.

My first time in seeing the Blades play Swindon, we lost! Len Badger getting our goal in the 2-1 defeat. It was on a Monday night in February 1970 (Swindon played in their FA Cup 5 round tie two days earlier). Don Rogers was their star player. I was on a holiday the next time we played at home to Swindon (August 1970) and missed our 2-1 win (Woodward, Colquhoun)

I think my first time against Swindon was in the early days of the Premier League. We won 3-1 and they scored first with a quickly taken (controversial?) free kick. Paul Bodin? Can't remember any of our scorers.

Been twice to their place, both times we drew. Remember Iffy Onoura hitting our bar from about 30 yards in one and Frank Talia playing in their net.

John Moncur I think. Should never have been allowed.

That 0-0 in '93 was the most tedious non event I've ever attended. I think they had one shot, us none, and that seemed to suit both teams fine. Remember some blokes started playing cards on the terrace, so dull it was.

They didn't sore first. Willie Falconer did...

Was Weir the manager when we lost that one game? :)

Bodin has the distinction of scoring two own goals for us for two different clubs. Whilst playing for Swindon on 27/12/94 and Reading on 29/3/97.

That is correct, heading in a free kick. Moncur equalised like Bath Blade explained.Carl Bradshaw put us back into the lead again with a deflecting header from a cross. Paul Rogers made it 3-1 when Swindon's keeper Fraser Digby (a Sheffielder) failed to hold a stinging shot by Andy Scott

Make that 19 :)

I wish I had a better memory for these things. Mind you, it was 20 years ago and I was 11.

One game against Swindon that I do remember well was last season's 0-0 draw, when Balham Blade, BladeInThatcham and I all had to pay twice to watch about 70 minutes of rubbish football, thanks to a certain Ollessendro ...

Couldn't have happened to a nicer set of blokes .....
