We could counter attack better if like for like players were faster

Last night West Brom destroyed Leeds with pacy strikers running at the defence. No slow build up there. Of course Leeds were playing to win and left themselves exposed like Wigan did against us. Pace in behind doesn't work with 2 packed lines of defenders. We did what every other team would do and tried to pull Wednesday with width. Flash of quick passing to break in for the penalty nearly did it for us. Wasn't our night and we will have plenty of chances against more ambitious teams but West Brom showed how useful pacy strikers can be so I hope we can strengthen in Jan. 3 points off top and joint third on points is a great place to be going into late November .Can't wait for Rotherham.

And yet they are below us in the league.

I don’t disagree with your sentiments, but picking and choosing the best bits of other people’s game would be nice, but is impossible obviously. And there’s a danger of chucking the baby out with the bath water.

We do have to get the ball into the box more though. And some pace would be handy.

They murdered us down the wings today.
I suppose when your wingbacks have such an off day it highlights how good having a wide man can be but we just couldn't stop them whipping balls into the box today.
