Gilchrist and raksakyi have been two of our best players this season but were both deemed not good enough to play against Leeds. Can they be recalled in January and sent on loan to another team?

We'll have to wait and see how many times Wilder drops our best players against "big" teams. He got a bad reputation for doing it at Boro and Watford.

I’m as pissed off as anyone but that’s a touch extreme 😂

Berkshire, nobody is overreacting.

People pay money and are allowed to share opinion.

Almost to a fan, both us and Leeds, we could not believe the formation last night.

If I made a bad decision in my professional career, I would be held accountable.

What we are saying is that, almost a single voice, that what the coaching staff did last night needs accountability.

The decision to change formation, personnel, and tactics was absolutely wrong and someone is accountable.

The reasoning for the change does not stand credibility.

Almost everyone is saying the same thing so it was a bad decision.

Best thing that should have been done was for Wilder to take responsibility for the decisions: he did not.

Just my thoughts from many time zones away.

At 7pm when the team was announced my son said he was glad we hadn't managed to get tickets because we were set up to lose. No over reacting on his part, just common sense

It doesn't seem credible to clueless fans, no. Thankfully, Wilder is well aware that part of the job in football isn't just having people say you're shit at your job, but people with no idea what they're talking about telling you the same.

He was right, but did he go on to speculate about loan players being recalled, which is the overreaction part?

I think we've had poor value for money on the loans this year. JRS has produced relatively little for what his fee and wages will have been same goes for BBD, Clarke was pretty much a waste and Gilchrist just not used since January.

Choudhury the best but still doesn't come close to Doyle/McAtee quality last time we was here.

We fell unlucky with Soutts though.
I agree with the rest.

Ah yes forgot about him 😲

He was excellent.
It'd be interesting to see our 5 (6?) Loans compared to the ones Leeds and Burnley brought in.
Im a huge Wilder fan, but does he take the "personality and character" test too seriously when it comes to other teams players? Who cares why they're here, what they want, or what their favourite lager is? Go and get the best players available.

Bit of a mixed bag this year with the loans as a whole.

Souttar:
Our best loan, an important part of the team and we've suffered without him, particularly Anel and Gilchrist.

Gilchrist:
Was good at RB but his performances dipped when Souttar got injured, as the two had a good connection on the right side of our defence, don't think him and Anel worked well together.

Holding:
Not played enough but has looked good most of the time he does play, hopefully has an opportunity to prove his fitness for the playoffs so we'll see what happens.

Clarke:
Some people will say it was a poor signing, I'd say it's just an unlucky situation as he's spent most of his time injured (that just happens sometimes), he got promoted with Ipswich last season but didn't make the step up, came to us, inconsistent performances and eventually injured.

Choudhury:
Our second best loan imo, there are question marks about him as a CDM but we needed him when Souza was injured (and he did a decent job) and more recently at RB where he's defensively strong, even against a good LW in Jaidon Anthony on Monday.

JRS:
His output this season is better than his performances (7 goals and a handful of assists), a luxury player for me, especially compared to Brooks who has less goal contributions but is more of a team player.

BBD:
I don't think he's been great, but I don't think he's been as bad as his stats (and some performances) suggest, for an inside left forward/LW who's played out of position at RW since he arrived (not to mention he wasn't fully fit when he arrived), he's still got 4 goals, 3/4 assists (would have had more G/A's with some better finishing from himself and some teammates).

For someone playing out of position, that's not a bad return, especially as JRS (playing in his preferred RW position and having been here longer) only has a few more G/A's, it's also about half the goal contributions that Hamer has (9 goals, 7 assists?), who has played more games and also doesn't play in his strongest position.

Even with Souttar though, he was excellent but he’d gone from hardly playing in ages to us realising he was head and shoulders (pardon the pun) better than our other option and therefore having to play every minute of every game. This may have contributed to him breaking down injured.

Of players still fit, JRS is 2nd to only Hamer in (per 90)

Passes leading to a shot
Passes into the penalty area
Shot creating actions (The two offensive actions directly leading to a shot, such as passes, take-ons and drawing fouls)
Shots on target

He's top for successful dribbles
Progressive carries
Carries into the final 3rd
Carries into the penalty area

If anything, he's been vastly underused

To some extent, I think our loans have been what they should (in theory) be, additions to the squad, not the main focus. (don't fall in love a loan signing...

Souttar was immense and such a shame he got injured. Would buy him in a heart beat if we stay in championship. To me, this is a clear area where we should have bought a 1st choice player, not had a loan.

Gilchrist has played his part, developed, I think a good loan signing all round, just a shame him and Seriki have both had injuries.

Holding:
potentially should have played more, has done well, good quality cover.

Clarke:
not amazing and has had injuries, would we have missed him if we didn't sign him?

Choudhury:
Good January signing, great quality, excellent cover and there is still the chance that this type of loan signing sees us promoted.

JRS:
I think this for me is the odd one. Stats wise has contributed so much. But every game it feels like hes not fully involved, is very easy to read. I wouldn't say he has developed as a player over the season.

BBD:
Chipped in with a few goals. Again, has the potential to be a January loan signing that makes the difference from being promoted.

JRS has been a good addition, hes popped up with several important goals, OK he should have put Plymouth to bed when clean through but for assists and goal involvements and the attacking threat he offers I think k he's been decent he's probably 3rd top scorer and not featured in every game
