It's the Soumaré part that's confusing me too.

Either way, at least Godfrey was dropped. Wilder seems to have gone away and returned a bit more ruthless than before.

Soumare replaced Chong who got injured in the warm up. I guess the BBC just kept the same formation.

You are right, 5-3-1-1 was our formation. But when we got the ball in the opposition half, Ogbene went so high that he played like an orthodox winger, and the rest of the defence adjusted to what looked like a back four. On occasions when we lost the ball we kept that shape until Ogbene had time to get back.
