The like is for Coloquhoun being in the trinity, the only Willis and Freeman I know is the keeper and the pirate wing back we've got now.
I was joshing. FHW was a shoe shop.

The trio (I guess!) is Woodward, Currie and Colquhoun, or so the chant would suggest.

Who's old enough to remember Freeman, Hardy and Willis? :D
From the 1971 promotion team only Badger, Colquhoun and Woody spent more than 10 years at BDTBL and I would say it is a close call between Colquhoun and Badger to join in the trio with Woody and TC

second thoughts, there used to be a banner that read,

"Edwards of Nazareth" didn't there?

Keith Edwards was a bit like the baby Jesus but as far as I am aware, the Christ child couldn't take corners with either foot.

Our men.

Jesus wasn't a lazy goal hanger though. ;)

I know you're only kidding, but how highly regarded was Edwards?
I always thought he was a legend and everybody rated him, but that doesn't seem the case.

I think he was a very very good footballer for us. Put it this way, I think he earned the right to criticise the team the way he does on the radio & yes, he was a 'two-footed' player (no obvious jokes please). An exciting goal scorer, sometimes they have to hang around waiting for chances.....[just noticed the wink but I can't work out how to wink back]

If he ever played at all in the top league? (for Leeds) he didn't for long.

I think I'm one of the few who really likes hearing him on the radio too. He's passionate and he has some valid points.
He sounds a bit of a Lineker? I'm just surprised sometimes that our fans knock him just for been a poacher. I'd give anything for a goal machine like him this season.

Surely the right sided combo of Badger, Currie and Woodward is the answer.

Think I mentioned it before on the Woody tribute thread but the only time we've come close (with pale imitations of those three) were the left wing trio of Harley, Brown and Tonge and the RW link up of Lowton, McDonald and Williamson.

Nosworthy, (Jordan) Stewart and Ertl would be an unholy trinity

He was brilliant. In divs 3&4 he was so below his level it was frightening. In open play he was a bit Lineker like (not a bad thing); good first touch, that special awareness a goalscorer needs, surprisingly good in the air for his size and a clinical finisher plus he took Beckham-like free kicks and corners.

He was a very good finisher, skilful, good at sniffing chances and very good with dead balls. He was rightly was very popular with the fans but it has to be said that he has never scored in a first division match and no first division clubs have made a real cash offer to sign him. Harry Haslam didnt like him much probably because of his poor work rate and I have always said it was wrong of him to sign the injury prone Steve Finnieston for £100K and selling Edwards to Hull for £55K (summer 1978) because Edwards would have converted Sabella's quick thinking through balls and might have got us promotion rather than relegation. Dont know if he would have done well with us if we didnt have a poor 1975-76 season and didnt get relegation
