Watched the game back that I recorded last night and it was interesting to hear Keith Andrews mentioning our budget, and saying how well we had done compared to what other clubs had spent.

Said Wilder deserved some money to spend in January if it was available.

What struck me was the way he said it, coming across knowingly rather than just a throwaway line.

Of course we all know our budget is nowhere near many at this level but I still see ignorant comments from fans of other clubs mentioning our size and that we should be doing well.

Does anyone know if there's any credible info out there giving an idea of where we are in the league pecking order in terms of spending, wage bills or such like?

The article below is a good source. However, the most up to date information is the season before last ie 2015/16. So it doesn’t include the clubs coming down with parachute payments last season and this ie Villa, Sunderland, etc who will have huge wage bills

I’m guessing our wage bill might increase to possibly £15M in our first season back (it could be higher depends on how much Kev and the Prince are willing to put in).

I would say almost certainly we are in the bottom third for wages.

He put across a number of supportive points, both of the Blades in general, and in terms of backing Wilder. In fact, so did Browny too. They both firmly felt we should have won.

It's just the usual commentator on the match that talks fickle bollocks.
