I have been trying to find a list of our all-time leading goalscorers without any luck. It's surprisingly difficult to find. I found that Harry Johnson (204) is number #1 but unsure of the pecking order after that - anyone know?

If you view it on a laptop, not phone, you can sort the table by the goals column

Yeah Wiki only looked last week seemed quite comprehensive, might do a table for Prem goals just for fun before anybody angrily crys 'football's been around longer than that!'

Harry Johnson played part time time for most of his career, he was also Mansfield's record scorer.
Bert can't think of any other player who was record goalscorer at two different clubs.

Woody is second :)
Woodward 158 from midfield? Jesus
Some thought he was, yes.

He was without doubt the best winger we have ever had .also he had the most powerful shot any player I have seen in a blades shirt.I would like to know how many goals he scored direct from a corner he seemed to do it so regular. Also his crosses from the wing were tremendos. Deardon's goals were laid on a plate for him with those crosses. What would he be worth today?

Yes indeed, I mentioned that in another thread recently. It's probably a unique achievement in England but I don't know for sure.

Anyone got an up to date list for all time goalscorers?

Arthur Rowley is Shrewsbury’s leading scorer and 2nd all time for Leicester. I can’t find anyone else close.

Not many players have even scored 100+ for multiple clubs

Our very own Harry Johnson jnr is the only player to be the leading League goalscorer for 2 clubs

201 for Sheffield United
104 for Mansfield Town

It is unique amongst the current 92 PL and EFL clubs.

Sean Devine was at one time the leading scorer for both Barnet and Wycombe but he lost both of those records and of course Barnet aren’t in the league any more.

Quiz time - which former Blades player is Wigan’s all time leading scorer?

Whilst being 3rd. on the list for the total number of goals scored for us , Jimmy Dunne holds two records which are unlikely to ever be beaten .

These are scoring 30 or more goals in three consecutive seasons and the highest total in a single season with 41

The latter is still the record for any Irish player in the English football league .

The latter is still the record for any Irish player in the English football league .

He holds the 30 goals in 3 straight top flight seasons jointly with Alan Shearer.

His 41 goals are a club and Irish record but not a league record. Dixie Dean holds that with 60 goals in 1927-8.

Dunne was not even top scorer in the Division when he scored 41. Pongo Waring of Aston Villa scored 49.

Dunne also holds the record for scoring in consecutive league games. He scored in 12 straight, with Jamie Vardy falling one game short of tying him in 2015-6.

I am aware of the other records you mention but this thread is about goalscoring records for SUFC , which I emphasised by using the term ‘for us’ I’m my opening sentence .

As such , the records I attributed to him still stand and almost certainly will never be repeated .
