This is a debate me and my mate often have, which is the most boring club to support?

I automatically rule out clubs like Hull, QPR, Norwich and Ipswich because although they're dull and shite at least they've had some success within living memory and a few seasons in the Premier League.

I've come to the conclusion that the answer is Preston.

They haven't been in the top flight for over 50 years, rarely challenge for promotion and I can't ever remember them even getting to an FA Cup or League Cup semi final. In my lifetime they've never really had any memorable or famous players either.

If you say Preston North End to me absolutely nothing comes to mind.

They just just sort of exist as perennial second tier stalwarts.

Went once, in about 2014. Soulless, sparsely populated ground. One big cheer when they scored. 1-1 I think. Rochdale was tons better!

I'm the exact same. They were always my fifa team before we became a league 1 club shit enough to start in a career mode. Bowditch up top was a legend.

Can't remember Bowditch. I do remember Terry Skiverton and Jevons. Jevons was my star striker for a few seasons.

Coming back to real life, did you ever catch the Yeovil vs Forest league one play-off Final? Reyt game! Both teams just going for it and playing some pretty decent stuff as well.

I have a soft spot for Yeovil tbh. Years ago on Fifa I won everything with em. From league 2 to champions of Europe in 5 seasons! Had a soft spot for em ever since.

I’m the same with Macclesfield from Champ manager 00-01 I’ve not played computer games for years but still have a soft spot for them ! It was my first taste of management glory. I retired from management in 15/16 after nearly getting the Blades relegated to league 2. I did inherit the Adkins side though so not all my fault.

But come on Blades , at the start of this season nearly everyone was saying on this forum and others about the Billy big bollox attitude of exsisting premier league clubs and fans , and now, here we are after less than a season thinking and doing the same
Every single club mentioned means something to there location and is an integral part of its area

They're an easy target for me.
West Ham.
And its nothing to do with Tevez or being effectively handed a free stadium, its just I can't think of a team that has chanced a living in the Premier League as much as them. Never challenge for anything and with fans that for whatever reason, still believe that the PL would be a poorer place without them.
You could probably tar Everton or Newcastle with the same brush(I actually have the utmost respect for Newcastle fans. Turn up in their droves despite not having won anything in years, been relegated, put up with being mismanaged AND now have to put up that shit, spoiling football of Steve Bruce) , but judging by the fans of those two clubs I've met, I'm not sure they have the same sense of sheer fucking entitlement that Hammers fans have.
And playing the 'West Ham Way' they always squawk on about. What does that even mean? Is this still about 1966?
Shit club, shit fans... It's just a shame they'll avoid the drop.

There are plenty of teams I question the existence of but that come to mind now, Villa, Birmingham, Coventry City, Derby, Leeds, Pigs, Crystal Palace these are the clubs I have least time for.

Everton. Really, what's the point? They never go down, never win anything, never get to finals, never get into Europe, never usually even chasing Europe or threatened with relegation, just tedious, bland existence with only two games to get excited about all season which they'll probably lose anyway.

Aye they can’t even get into the much heralded “Everton position” (7th).
