Opposition opinions - The O's

Just a few comments from the boards of yesterdays opponents Orient's boards for those interested just to gain an opinion from both sides of the fence.

"Sheff U came with a gameplan and it very nearly worked so credit for them. Their CB Maguire looks a top player".

"The goal we conceded was just extremely unfortunate. Bit of a mix-up and Cuthbert clears it against a fella who's laying on the floor. If it hits him on the ear, we clear it, it didn't, it hit him bang on the forehead and rebounded out to their player. Can't really legislate for that, just one of them things".

"I thought the blades turned out well today for a team in trouble. 1100+ of them and they were vocal as well so you have to give credit to them".

"I don't know where Slade is coming from saying we should have been three up at half time I think they defended really well to be fair and ye we had a few chances and probably should have taken one of them but three up?".

"Spoke to a blade after the game who said he would settle for a draw so that has to be a positive for us because to be honest before the game I said the same".

"Better than I thought they would be when you look at where they are in the league. I dont think united will be down there at the end of the season in fact I wouldnt be surprised if they managed to pull it together and nick 6th spot"

"What a keeper they have FFS! I don't remember much of him last year but he was awesome in the net for them today. Only small and only looks young but hes one for the future and cant see them keeping him for long what do we know about him?"

I don't get how people can look at George Long and think he's small. He's 6'4" and nearly 15 stone !

I agree with you I guess it's just his frame considering his height he does look quite slender at times especially up against some of these meathead league one strikers.

At least one of them recognised our real MOTM, the support. Fantastic again!

To be fair reading into it all a good few of them predicted a draw before the game despite where we are in the league so despite one of em calling us a team in trouble in all fairness a good few teams still rate us as a danger especially more so on our improved form.

Seen a few comments about them looking tired and stuff but overall they tend to agree that we were value for the point and were unlucky not to take three in the end. They comment about us being well set out with a good game plan which is exactly what we are saying and they think our back four were solid as well so they agree there.

Not many complaints from them at the final score, they don't seem hard done by which cancels out slade's comments about them being hard done by and unlucky to win and should have been clear and blah-de-blah.

High Peak, your OP reads completely different to the one on Bladesmad which Roygbiv does every week. The comments on there from the Orient fans are totally at odds with the remarks you have picked up from their boards. As per the post on Bladesmad, we are yet again, perceived as a dirty, physical team, well schooled in the art of gamesmanship and conning the officials.
Nice to read that some Orient fans recognised the hardworking performance that our lads put in yesterday.

I don't read the one on Bladesmad mate so can't really comment. I can only tell you that I don't use the main stream boards but mainly the private unofficial fan forums, if he uses the equivalent of Bladesmad then I can understand some of the comments at he receives . I simply copy and paste from legitimate sources.
