Just had it said from a Wolves fan at work 'We had 5 chances and too 3 of them'.

We outplayed them all game had a goal disallowed that was a good foot and a half over the line that would have been the equaliser.

To say we were shite or outplayed or even played badly as just bollocks.
as are the BBC stats that say Wolves had 57% of possesion!!!!!

The Blades are a long way from the 'finished item' and lack of ambition and the 'cheap as chips' attitude has a lot to do with it.
We are a mediocre fizzy pop team and the sooner Blades realise it the better.

What is the 'cheap as chips' attitude? you've said before we have the biggest wage bill in the division. Even if you mean the appointment of Blackie, who could we have possibly splashed the cash on management wise?

We are 4th in the league on merit. Which means at present we are undoubtedly the 4th best team in the league. We need to improve without a doubt, but we are one of the best teams in this division.

But they're full of "cheap as chips" options. We have one of the highest wage bills in the league. Sort your argument out man.

Either a) We're a cheap-as-chips club
or b) We're underperforming when compared to Wednesday who are a cheap-as-chips club

Both these points, which you have made in this thread, contradict each other. I'll grant you one or the other as "your opinion" but stating both simply nulifies both. Therefore you have no opinion, you're just a shock-merchant on the wind-up.

The 'cheap as chips' bit really relates to the SENIOR management at BDTBL over the years.........however the amount of £££££ sqandered on high wages and mediocre players over the past few seasons has at best been wastefull.
For me the 'foudations' i.e good management are not in place at BDTBL.

It was one of those all too frequent Blades nights where nothing was going to fall for us, we did out play them except where it mattered.

Had we got 1 back to make 1-1 it would have been a totally different game, we had the "goal from the corner" then Beattie hit the post. So on another night...maybe.

Then that dense linesman goes and gives offside from a corner? and they go up the other end, and to be fair to Iwelumo he took both goals really well.....to call the top scorer in the league (as I believe hes now either level or above Doyle) a journey man is abit unfair.

People forget we were playing a team well clear at the top.....defensively they were not great. But I'd have Carl Henry, Micheal Kightly (best overall player in this league IMO), Andy Keogh, Ebanks-Blake and Iwelumo all in my squad....

Ebanks-Blake or Billy Sharp.....mmmmm

If we play like that we'll not be far off come April/May. I only expected play-offs this season and I think we're more than capable of it.......

I know we had a bit of bad luck BUT the records will show a 1-3 home defeat
It worries me that we have played 2 of our big rivals at ours and they have both put us to the sword. Add to that Birmingham away and our record against the better teams is dire, we are in that anyone can beat anyone group and, whilst we may get promoted through the playoffs I don't want to be like Derby, a joke, I can see that there is an inkling of a good team there but I worry about our defence facing Rooney etc. Morgan is just not premiership class and Ugo is getting past it. My opinion is we need to strenghten there and also another quality midfielder (Speed is too old for the prem now) and build from there yet we are linked with attacker after attacker

To be honest I don't think anybody had a bad game.

Maybe Morgan could have been on the line quicker for their first goal and Kenny should have probably saved their third but overall I thought we were the better side.

If we had a bit of luck on the ref and lino's wern't complete idiots then it may have been a different story. Everytime we got near their box we were fouled, the majority of the time it went un-noticed.
