One of my first heroes. I played centre half at school and when I started going my dad told me to pay special attention to the guys who played that position. I took it a bit too literally and just used to track Stancliffe around the first few times I went.

Tears in his eyes when he talked about the fans welcoming back the lads after Leicester 1990, the team coach couldn't get in the car park because of the sheer numbers.

Paul Walker really is the master when it comes to interview technique and getting the best out of a guest. Enjoyed this one a lot.

Stanny went to our school colley, he was the year below me and he sometimes played for our year. At school he was a smallish midfielder who was very skillful, he had a major growth spurt when he was around the 4th year. He never ever played for united in the wenesday v united dinner time games which probabally clouded my view of him, and when he captained us was the time i was playing saturday football so only went to midweek games or when we had one called off. But he was a very good kid / bloke and did united proud, pity he didnt do it at dinner time when we were vastly outnumbered
