You're a day out. It was 5th May 1990.

I've picked a random newspaper from that day, just to confirm the date...

On this day in 1990 I was getting excited about the imminent birth of one of my daughters. Think it was cauliflower cheese for tea that night too.

To add and to sound like an really old man…I remember it as though it were yesterday probably my favourite time as a blade 2 prolific goal scorers we havent had a decent one for seasons, we either won 10-0 or lost 10-0 but it was always entertaining.

One of my biggest regrets not being at this game ......I was dressed as a combat soldier in a field somewhere in West Gernany

7000 ?, without coming across as Wednesday like, you can add a few thousand more to that figure
I was there aged 7, most memories of the day lost during the 90s and noughties but still recall Agana's second goal, the pitch invasions, and a massive fight involving hundreds of Blades presumably laying in to Leicesters that had infiltrated the away end. (did this really happen? it's my clearest memory of the day. My brother - aged 6 -and I found it amusing despite being just a few feet from the agro, no recollection of being scared at all).

Thats the last time we won on the final day of the season when it had something riding on the fixture
Technically we could have gone down in 1993 - but would have taken a huge goal difference swing. We hammered Chelsea at the Lane anyway.

It was the Blades fans that were packed into the home end behind the goal. I think the away end was down one side of the pitch. Blades were packed into the home standing section behind the goal and the home seats above that. There were shenanigans in the main stand too, right in front of the press box where I was, with Blades and Leicester at it for most of the second half. Probably my favourite day of following the Blades that, what with the outcome over at Swine Central as well. Happy days indeed.

Bert and Co. were in the away section up behind the goal, there were a few scuffles but not many due to the away end being 80% Unitedites.
