last night i got second place in bubble shooter in the arcade

this morning i got two tickets for radio 1's big weekend on the second day

lots of seconds....hoping for the big one tomorrow:thumbup:

I went into the bakers near my house here in Reading this morning. All the gingerbread men they had were all in red and white. no blue anywhere. Next I went to the cash machine and it had a barclays premier league advert on the screen. Definitive stuff.

I been for my ears lowered. The young lady performing the task had two brushes (to remove excess hair) to choose from... right next to each other.... one red & white, one blue & white....

Completely blindly, whilst looking the other way, she grabbed hold of one.

I asked myself earlier today if it was unlucky to have a shower the day before the big game - and if it was just as unlucky to pick the dog hairs off my socks.

Personally, I'm going to save the wine for tomorrow. If it's despair, I've got a bottle of First Cape Sauvignon Blanc, and a Blossom Hill Chardonnay(both of which I don't particularly like) to annoy myself even more.

If it's a celebration, I've got three bottles of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (Caves Saint-Pierre) 2005 which may well get sampled.

I've got to admit, I'm getting second-hand goosebumps for you guys! I know what it's like on the eve of a big match, the euphoria when things pan out, the gut wrenching "I can't be arsed with anything or anyone" feeling when it doesn't...

...and being a football fan, I love it! Nothing better than hoping your team win...by sheer force of will alone!

PS - Can I catch this game on tenterweb radio if I can't get to the pub in time?

It won't be on Radio Sheffield's Interweb thingy because of the broadcast rights, and Five Sports Extra is covering the Reading game. How much coverage will be given to us on Five Live is anyone's guess as they're covering the Liverpool v Newcastle match.

it gets worse. Just gone to set my alarm for the morning. It has 4 presets. The first two are already in use for work in the week.

I started setting a new alarm, thought.... shit!... that'd be preset 3! had to reprogramme preset 2 instead.
