Terrible last night, worst player on the pitch. Got exploited loads, I hope that was just a one off
Disagree. He was rubbish, but Berge was worse and McAtee was even worse than him.

Norwood albeit poor game did put his foot in, Berge with ball OK without ball hopeless, can't tackle or head to save his life, McAtee with and without ball useless, looked like a kid in a man's game.

I think part of the reason Norwood had a poor game was because Carrick (like most PL managers) know that if you can close Norwood down by putting 2 men on him when it matters they stop United’s momentum and control. Our other midfield players should have taken advantage of the extra space for them but they were unable to and without Doyle there was no ‘minder’ to help Norwood. I still remember how much work Hockey and others did to help Currie in his prime.
You don't need to put two players on Norwood one is enough to get on him. He won't dribble past you .You need to cut off his passes.

Play Mcatee at Millwall and they will blow him over. My opinion is he's to lightweight and not yet ready for proper football, yes he's learning his trade but we need someone in there who's tried and tested, not an apprentice.

Ordinarily, that is why Norwood has a bad game.

But Wednesday night, he was smashing passes all over the place under no pressure at all. He has games like that (very occasionally) where if he miscues his first few, his head seems to go and he starts trying to force things and further compounds on his errors.

He doesn't hide though and puts his hand up. He's a top bloke and a good professional. He'll bounce back.
We're very lucky to have him.
