Anyway Oliver Norwood goes on to say about how competitive training is and how the kit man has thrown a hissy fit and walked off after the players have been arguing over if a ball was in or out after a game of head tennis !!
I don’t think it was serious Norwood was smiling and laughing as he said it but yet again another interview where the togetherness and competitiveness of the squad comes to light.
Training in my opinion HAS (in capitals) to be
Competitive or what’s the point?
in Warnocks book he says his first training session he told them to go in full bloodied and he soon found out who his first 11 was.
I wonder how many other premier league teams are this way or is it all cautious passing play most of the week during training.

This policy has clearly paid dividends, and the players overall fitness will also benefit from it. How far it can be pushed will become clear at the seasons end, when players might be subject to injury and fatigue.
It’s clearly a big ask for players like Moose who are obviously not used to such intensity.
Overall, I would add that training also needs to be realistic, which it clearly is, but also fun.

Theres a similar theme in the military, “train hard, fight easy”. It seems to work for blades players so far.

I watched this earlier but I love his attitude and he really feels appreciated here. He has been at other clubs where all his hard work led to him being cut loose.
