It’s easy to criticise somebody from the stands for making mistakes or giving the ball away, but of course you’re going to do that when you have twice the touches of everybody else.
Everything good goes through him, he is our one genuine playmaking attacking talent, he sets up everything we do in the opponents half. And without him we look lost.

Play him every single game. Cretins that want him out are clueless

Yes everything goes through him but that doesn't mean he's good enough.

He plays too many suicide passes and loses possession all the time. He's a liability.

His positives are that he always gives 100% and always wants to be on the ball but he's just lost a step in quality in the last couple of years and now isn't good enough.

Norwood & Fleck are shot. Good memories but football moves on quick.

Unfortunatley they are on big money so hard to shift, not hard to drop though.

Spot on only player who can get it off our defence and move play on, most of our fans don't understand his role so think he shit, reminds me of Leon britton who didn't last long at the blades but was an excellent Premier league player for years

Saw him have a go back at a fan when he went to get the ball from the South Stand after one his poor corners that didn't beat the first man was clear for a throw.

Poor lad sulked down the tunnel after the game as well, must have pissed him off.

Wondered why he was brought on, but he did ok
I thought the way the game was it was absolutely the right thing to bring him on. We needed to get a hold of the ball and stop their big lumps having all of the possession with so much time left in the game. Yes it was frustrating to concede late on but I think it would have been a lot earlier if we carried on with Didzy Ndiaye Ozzy and Fleck as the midfield. One of the first things Norwood did was a neat first touch pass forwards. I thought they didn’t press him too much so he had time to pick out passes.

Not sure any of our midfielders played well tonight aside from ndaiye. Norwood played ok but has been getting worse for some time and fleck likewise. Mgw has been brilliant for us before tonight so we will miss him. Not sure Berge will be fit anytime soon but we will need to think about how to get the best out of the players we have available. Midfield wins you most matches.

The problem is that Hourihane shrank like a puddle in the hot sun in the first half, he's clearly not a viable alternative.
People easily forget that we haven't got the Barnsley version of Hourihane or the early Villa version. What we have is the Dean Hammond 2.0 version who so inflamed the fans at Swansea last season.

That's right. I didn't see him play last season, but I remember all the Swansea fans saying that his stats were deceptive and that he wasn't very effectual most of the time.

Roy did a 'View From.... Swansea' about him and it didn't make for pleasant reading, I seem to remember.

I've got to admit I still like Norwood, his dead ball delivery stinks the place out though, but we know what he brings to the table, ok he can't tackle but let's be honest none of the other midfielders can either, in his prime for us he was always regarded as a quarterback, but like a quarterback he needs a brick shithouse in front of him for protection, at one time of day fleck was that shithouse but not anymore, I don't think flecks drop in form and everyone highlighting Norwoods failings are unrelated, for me I think fleck should be dropped with this algerian fella given the role of enforcer

Agreed. We need him in the starting 11 until we can replace him with a better version.

UTMB

Guerdioura would have been a good sub today but Slav wasn’t to know he’d be making a 35 min sub and then going down to 10 men after a bit of play acting. Nevermind

I've been critical but first half today we didn't have a clue without him

Absolute bollocks there’s no energy in the middle of the even less with Houlrihane we’ve got major problems in that area but Slav cannot solve it instantly

So apparently Norwood told someone in the South Stand to fuck off last night after they had a go at him.

Don't dish it out if you can't take it back.

Ollie has clearly been upset or frustrated with the fans for a while imho. It's been very noticeable to me how he rarely claps the fans now. Even when getting an ovation when subbed he hasn't acknowledged the fans.

Maybe a few might want to look at themselves and how they support the team at present. As frustrating as last night was, some around me were utterly pathetic in their reactions and verbal abuse.

None of our defensive midfielders can defend. Surely it is not too much to ask for someone who can take the ball from the defence and pass it to a teammate but can also track runners and make tackles.

It was close to me after the first corner he took.

Our new scapegoat after Lundstram left, everything Norwood does wrong is met with groans from the stands. When he got subbed off on Saturday and walked around the pitch, barely a tenth of the people who applauded Osborn back to the bench did the same for him.

All that is one level of stupidity, the bellend who thought it would be helpful to stand up and shout abuse at him (from 3 yards away) while he was trying to take a throw in is a completely new level.

I'm a bit frustrated with our fanbase at present which might sound odd considering how good the numbers are currently.

I know last season was a shocker but there feels like there's little patience from so many.

I despair at how many don't seem willing to want to persevere with how we're set up in the knowledge that we know we're not the finished article and manager will want to bring further players in.

I listen to people waxing lyrical about typical limited Championship players because they've got one over on us on the day.

Most of those players are at the summit of their careers. We've got players who have gone beyond that and others who are capable of doing so.

I think that the likes of Norwich, Fulham and WBA effortlessly waltzing to the top of the table or to promotion after coming down does not help the situation.

Every week you hear that WBA did not play well, but win. It really grates.
