My son played against him a couple of times and said he was a nice bloke, skill and pace wise was far above anyone else on the pitch but couldn't hit a barn door. Can finishing be taught to the level he needs to be at? Personally not sure but can only get better with games. Not sure who got the better deal us or WBA.

We did

When he was at Celtic under Rodgers he improved, Rodgers left and he then just fell away. There is a player in there and with a bit of time, coaching and patience we will have a great player. Yes I know, this season we have not enough of any of those 3 things.
Took his goal well today, that's the ball we need to be putting him onto.
Let's hope today is the turning point for the season.
Tin hat donned!

Pity that second one bounced out, off the post, instead of bouncing in.

Still, I hope the goal today lifts a weight off his shoulders and gives him a boost.

If he could finish he wouldn't be at the lane. Once he learns the trade I think he'll be a gem. Just hope it's with us. Could be as good no sorry better than vardy and that kills me to say that piggy cunts name.

Lads absolute top mustard be just needs a club who will believe in him and play reguarly up top

Reminds me of Jamie vardy but faster and a poorer finisher

Hi, Stegosaurus here

I like him. Fast, gets stuck in, causes problems. Bad finisher, but hope that can be improved.

He's much better than Brewster

He would be great on either side of a front 3. He doesn't seem to have the knowhow to be an out and out striker. He is 0predominantly a winger though, so not suprising.

Hi, a proper Blade here.

Once again NKT's finest undercover operative tries to lump on the negative. Taking a positive thread about one player, to rubbish another is pitiful.

Ever thought about joining QAnon?

He either does something exceptional or embarrassing, never anything in between. Whenever he picks up the ball, God rolls a dice.

We should get fully behind this lad for the rest of the season and allow him to find his feet at the top of the pitch as he could be a huge asset to us next season.

He's been our most dangerous forward in nearly all of the games he's played in and has a knack for creating big opportunities (and goals) through his bullish attributes.

If fans focused purely on his career at United so far and ignored the noise from outside (WBA, Scotland etc.) then I think we'd all have a really different perspective on Burke.

He cost us the equivalent of about £3m, he's 23 years old, has the best work rate of anybody in our squad (he's at least in the top 3), has pace & power and makes things happen singlehandedly.
If we'd signed him this season from abroad and knew nothing else about him I think we'd be raving that we had a really good asset on our hands with bags of potential.

What he lacks; composure, movement - can be taught or learnt through experience.

What he has; pace, power, attitude - money can't buy & is really difficult to find.

I've been wrong before, but when all the bits and pieces click into place I can see him being a very good striker & I hope that happens whilst he's with us.
Absolutely spot on description!!

It's a reflection of our current fortunes that his raw hustle and bustle is our main source of creativity or threat, as unpredictable as it is. It's the polar opposite to creating optimum chances in the system that won promotion to the PL.

I'm a fan of his, because he gives his all and shies away from nothing, even in our current plight. He grafts and is full of fight. I think if he can work on his finishing, he's a better central target figure than McBurnie.

Agree with all the positives, I've been saying for a while that he should start, particularly when we're likely to be under the cosh a fair bit as he offers a credible out ball into the channel, get the team up the pitch.

This is very minor, but I wish he'd time his attempts to head the ball from our goal kicks better. It's like he's deliberately trying not to head it! He jumps about 3 seconds too early!

Leaving Moose on, sub JF, alongside Burke I think we could have run Rovers ragged. Combined pace would have done for them.
Only my opinion.
UTB

The difference when he scored (and I hope the management picked up on this) was he slowed down before he shot and had the time to tee himself up better. Ok that opportunity isn't afforded with every chance but if he can make the right decision then he will at least start to get shots on target.

Has some great attributes ,speed ,skill ,attitude ,fitness ,enthusiasm, strength. When he gets composure and luck to go with these I think he is going to be a great player for us. There havent been many but virtually every good moment this season for us has involved Oliver Burke.
