OK what Derby players do we want?

Thought we had avoided one when we missed out on Waghorn but was quite impressed with him yesterday. Was watching the positions he kept taking up. Always seemed to find space in or around the penalty area. The problem was that Derby didn't have players good enough to pass it to him. However as said elsewhere he is not an £5/6 mill £40k pw player. Maybe OK at halkf the price but guess Derby will want their money back.

Marriot looks a great player in the making but won't be cheap. I really thought the lad Tomori at the back looks good and presumably as a right-footed could challenge Bash. He's on loan from Chelsea wouldn't be cheap if they would consider a fee, maybe a loan instead.

Not impressed with Wilson to be honest in spite of his impressive season. He'd be too expensive anyway, Liverpool wanting £25m apparently! Crackers if true! More like £10-£15m.

I thought Tomori looked good too. Maybe a buy back could be inserted into the deal like they did with Ake. Not sure if they would let me him go for £5m-£7m with a £15m buy back. Any more than that and I don't think a permanent deal is doable.

Tom Lawrence could be a possible addition for the number 10 role too. He's still only 25 and has good ability but seems to have not quite hit the heights that he did on loan at Ipswich. He has pace and can dribble and score from long range. I would imagine he could be the type we will look at this summer.

Huddlestone has looked very poor this second half of the season, laboured, slow and the only thing he seemed to be able to do is foul to "win" the ball

He was decent a few years ago
He’s never fulfilled his potential. Because, according to my very good sources, he liked to party.

He plays for derby like he's been on the piss. Thought he was terrible when he came on against Leeds (in the first leg i think). Looked leggy and slow, way off the pace.

Looking at the Derby players compared to Leeds, Blades and Villa and they look 'heavy' plenty of them seem to have a lot more bulk on them, whereas Leeds, Blades and Villa seem much leaner and more athletic.

Huddlestone reminds me of a player that would fit in well in a Nigel Adkins team - past it, unfit and lost his way.

I'd take Marriott or Hogan to be honest, there would be much more to come from both players
Oooooooo, who’s trying to boost the old ‘arf-n’arf scarf business pre season?

He plays for derby like he's been on the piss.
Judging by the media coverage of the Blades all our players, manager, back room staff and fans look like they’ve been on the pi55

I thought Holmes was good for Derby in the first half of the away leg with Leeds. He got took off for Marriott who then grabbed the headlines, so it might look bad on him, but he was quick, tenacious and was a pain in the arse for Leeds. Don't know whether he's been coming back from an injury but as I said, went off early and didn't play in the final but one of Derby's better players.

I liked the look of Tomorri the centre half. But we are strong there. He would be my choice out of there squad though.

Marriott looked good but got to be something wrong for Lampard not to play him.

I think the something wrong was Lampard.

The diamond surprised Leeds, and everyone expected the diamond again, but he went 4-2-3-1 with different personnel, to try and surprise Villa, but they'd obviously not had the time in that system they were crap.

Derby would've won that in my opinion if they'd started what finished at Leeds, the team full of confidence, because Villa weren't at it at all. Marriott up front with Waghorn coming on off the bench for a different kind of threat.

Already on record Woody.

Maupay
McBurnie
Lolley
Jota

All featured for teams in mid-table or below though Pinch. Total transfer fee cost somewhere around £68m. Good Pele!

You lot are doing very well recruiting that relegation team.

Let’s raid a mediocre Derby team that squeaked into the top six in the Championship to keep us in the Premiership. Genius.

Thank Pele none of you have the slightest influence on Tufty, Knill and Mitchell.

Lee Fucking Gregory.

;)Genius.
