Standing on the kop on Saturday when a bloke near me talked about how he'd just bought a ticket close by for someone i realised with a combination of disbelief and horror that I'd not renewed my season ticket. i don't remember getting any reminders through the post or on e mail presumably I must have anyway I've missed the deadline and now not only can't I get my ticket in the seat i've sat in for years but i cant get one at all. I go on my own since my sister moved away. I get there has to be a deadline I'm perfectly fine with paying full price for it but to miss out completely would break my heart. If I had to move I will but if i'm going to bramall lane upper tier i'd like it to have been my choice not my only option. My seat is I believe one on its own surrounded by other season ticket holders most of whom have been there for years only a couple are annoying. Just to add some context I've not waited to see where we were going to end up before I bought one, apart from a period when I was a student with a family to support so I worked as a steward and turnstyle operator, I've had one every year since 1980. Now I face an anxious wait my seat will apparently not have been sold yet. Anybody any info on what the club will do i hear they may not sell anymore Kop season tickets. i'm not quite sure what they gain by keeping some for general sale if they can sell them all as season tickets I know some clubs have a waiting list for season tickets but I'm assuming that's cos their grounds are sold out every week. I don't expect (or deserve) sympathy this is my fault but any advice gratefully received

Sit in another seat. It might be best to be out in the edges of the stadium anyway. After all, the excitement and giddiness might make a few people stand up and sing and you're likely to get involved in a fight with the siddarn and shurrup-ers

as said, i'm pretty sure you will be fine to renew your seat, probably just going to cost you a decent wedge more

Yeah I don’t think they release previously occupied seats for sale until after the final renewal deadline. Don’t think we’ve had that yet - only the early bird discount.

I would contact the club (ask to speak to the ticket office manager and/or Mick Rooker) and explaiin the situation and your credentials. If you offer to pay the higher band of pricing you might get a sympathetic ear, and they might ringfence your seat for you. They may even sell it you for the early bird price. In the Ipswich programme it makes no mention of halting season ticket sales. Perhaps more pertinently (due to print deadlines), the latest press release states: " Please continue to check the club website and social media over the coming weeks for announcements regarding any potential additional availability".

Agreed with post above. Talk to the club. They are usually sympathetic to a situation like this. I've swapped my season ticket location more than once and they were great with me and made sure the new seat got allocated and everything sorted out. Your seat won't have been sold on yet. You'll probably not get the renewal price, but you should still keep your seat. Hope you get it sorted.

You can still get your seat. It will just go on general sale so would be advisable to go early to get it when they come back on sale

Good luck pal.

Has anyone heard if anymore will be available?

I did something stoopid as well. Bought a 2019/20 season ticket on first day they released them, March I think, but with finance.

Got the email from Zebra finance saying it had not been processed. Went to Lane after Brizzle game, woman said my seat is still reserved, just keep an eye out for when next finance provider is out.

Like a T**t I didn’t check for a long time. Logged on finally to buy it Friday at 1800 after work, and they had stopped selling them at 1700.

I’ve phoned and emailed the club, they have said the seat is still reserved, but they don’t know if they can sell more Season tickets yet.

Had a season ticket pretty much every year for last 20 years, apart from a couple of seasons when I worked away, and now miss out on our best season ever cos I forgot to check when deadline was!!

Edit: Before anyone says anything, not a dig at the club, I know I screwed up, just wondered if anyone heard about more being made available?

You picked the worst season possible to make this error!

Speak to the club but I guess many people will try the same to get the discount.

We're rich now, the person at the ticket office will shrug their shoulders, stick their arms out and say " hey no problem my friend, you can have it for nowting ", premier league money, new chinese investment , you crafty git you new exactly what you were doing.

Tell me about it!

Honestly don’t even care about early bird prices, happy to pay full price, would just like to know more are on the way, but club couldn’t, or wouldn’t say anything when I asked.

They announced record season ticket sales earlier, so it will depend on what that figure is to start.

The 3000 away tickets minimum may be an issue as I’m not sure what the BLLT holds but probably less than 3000

SYP/ SAG will be an issue given that SYP have already been quoted this season as saying that they can’t handle big crowds

Segregation will be an issue... which may reduce our capacity to below 30000 and therefore the away allocation could be reduced.

Finally I guess they have to work out whether they want to sell some tickets on the day or not... that will give them a final figure for season tickets and they can release new prices

Has anyone had an email confirmation regarding their season ticket renewal? - I haven't heard anything and the online store doesn't show the transaction. The money has been taken mind.

BLLT is 2991 I believe. If it’s anything like the last Prem season we got a dispensation to give away fans 2991 I think it was, rather than 3000 like you’re supposed to.

Hopefully there’s not too much segregation, and my ticket in the Westfield Upper comes available for season ticket salesman again.

Ah ok, will probably be the same for away fans then. In That case BLUT should be Blades fans at least

I have had confirmation but only because I sent an email asking for it. I was away for a few days when I renewed and My online payment seemed a bit odd and I wanted confirmation all was well

Go to the online link where you bought it (not this seasons website) it shows there. I’ve not received an email.

Have we really nearly sold the ground out already? 32,000 - 2900 away fans = 29,100 home seats. Some are saying there will be only 4,000 tickets left per game so that's 25,100 season tickets sold? Surely not?

Got my 3 season tickets today
I have been trying for the past week on line and many many email later the ticket office phoned me and sent a link to my phone and within 10 mins was sorted the only problem was I requested a further ticket for my granddaughter but was refused the club are not issuing NEW season tickets and there are no plans to do in the future which I find very strange could any one shed any light on this situation as the young lady at the ticket office was very vague ???

From memory, last time we were promoted we had 23,400ish season tickets. So record sales will be above that. Call it 24,000.

3,000 for away fans. Leaves 5kish general sale every game. Unless we sell more season tickets.

SAG won't matter in Prem. Don't the PL pay for policing at games?

All in stadium security, stewarding is done by PL not club or SYP or SAG.

As I understand it from someone in the know. PL regs say 3,000 tickets for away fans with a caveat that fewer can be offered if segregation and safety requires this. Given BLLT is only a handful of tickets below that figure it will be OK. The other requirement is for a percentage of tickets for each game to be available for general sale for home sections. As I understand this will be BLUT at around 4,000 tickets. Bar odd seats, it looks like rest of the ground will be season ticket holders.

This.

32.6 capacity less 3k away leaves 29.6k.

BLUT around 4K for general sale, leaves @ 25.6k.

We’d got just over 1k ST’s left when they went off sale so over 24k ST’s sold, assuming all existing ST’s renewed.

The question is will these remaining 1k or so plus any not renewed be up for sale as ST’s in the near future ? If not, then 5-6k available each game max. I’d think the club will give the opportunity for all seats not on BLUT to be sold as ST’s leaving the odd seat plus BLUT as the general sale availability to only home fans.
