another site says we have signed Mike O'halloran(sp)

Don't know if there is any truth in this, but if it is he is a striker, not particulary pacey, 6' 2", not I would have thought what we needed, but in DW I trust.

Bolton Wanderers winger Michael O'Halloran has joined until the end of the season and it is hoped he will play a major role in the League One promotion push."Michael is a player we've had our eye on for quite a while," boss Danny Wilson told sufc.co.uk. "He can play on either flank or in a central striker's role and amongst his numerous attributes he has got blistering pace."The 21-year-old is a product of Bolton's youth system and he is a regular in their reserve team. As a measure of how highly the Trotters rate him, he signed a three and a half year contract recently, which will run to the summer of 2015.
He made his senior Bolton debut in the League Cup in August, whilst he has also been an unused substitute in the Premiership.

No idea about the lad to be honest, I hope he is a world beater on the quiet. I just struggle to see him breaking into the match day 16 for us to see this blistering pace.. Although I hope Porter might make way

But Shelton did have blistering pace, it was his football playing talents that rendered him utterly useless.

To be honest don't know that much about him, so wait and see, still think that we needed to strengthen midfield just in case.....

I can't find out, however I would really like this guy to be a left pegger! anyone loading up FM to find out? ;) haha

Don't know anything about him, but seems a good use of Monty's wages. We need pace and width. I'd like to see Flynn on one wing and this guy on another. Regardless it gives us extra options.

I do hope this footage is nothing to go by...

In all honesty, good luck to the lad but I would like to have seen a player with a bit more pedigree join us. If Wednesday can sign an established player like Treacy then why can't we?

Other than lack of quality, I can think of other reasons why a 21 year old premiership reserve has found himself on loan in the third division. Treacey has no such excuse.

Wasn't Tracy inconsistent one good game then he would disappear for 5 or 6 games had a good shot on him though.I can't remember anyone being upset when he left.

Treacy might be established but he's not very good. He had far more poor games for us than good ones - & seems to have gone backwards since then. I don't know O'Halloran but if he's a pacey winger as DW describes him, that's exactly what we need.

Again, i'm not knocking the lad, I trust in DW and hope he can make an impact. Just stating that it would be better if we had a player that had a bit of a name and made some senior starts so we know roughly what to expect.

I seem to remember Treacy being very inconsistent myself, was a good passer of the ball and could create chances - not much use with Wendy if there's nobody to put them in the back of the net...can''t seeing him tearing up many trees

used to score the odd 30 yarder and then live off that for the next five games.. didn't like a tackle AFAIR

For what it's worth, a mate of mine over here in Holland is a big Bolton fan and replied to my text asking about O'Halloran with 'He's good. My mate watches the reserves regularly and rates him very highly'.

I, for one, am perfectly happy for the Pigs to have both Treacy and the Loan Ranger. Trouble, the pair of them and, whisper it, not that good!

I hope O'Halloran is a success but a little bit of me is saddened by the reminder of how far we've fallen when we're signing Bolton's reserves on loan.

Yeah, next we'll be signing centre-forwards from 4th Division Chester and Doncaster! The very thought.
