It looks just the same to me and am I the only one who likes the club website? Its supplied by someone who does virtually all the league clubs which is good because its easy to find your way round. Its got everything I'd want from a site and when you see the odd club - like Leeds - that has their own individual website they always look really cluttered and not as straight forward.

After my dealings with the football league and PTV in particular Id imagine the guys making the websites are actually paying for the privileged. However for that they get complete control over the football clubs (all 78 of the clubs run by FLI) digital presence. When we last spoke to them SUFC couldnt even give permission to use the SUFC logo on anything digital. They also get a huge percentage of all ad revenue generated from the site.

For some kind of scale they wanted to charge us £100K up front to use the football clubs logos on mobile devices and then they were still going to take the lions share of the revenue generated too. Their only focus is revenue generation certainly not user satisfaction

As somebody who likes to keep concise records to update the 'Complete History...' book. I think the new site is utterly garbage. Last season, I was able to check the lineups, subs etc. on the evening of a Saturday game. As I type (6.45 am on Tuesday, over two days after the game), the lineups page is just showing a fucking stupid bouncing ball. Not too bothered by the appearance of the site, but up-to-date content would be nice.

You should initially try the sufc website in a different browser.

Try it in IE (probably the worst), chrome, MS edge (if you are using windows 10) and if needed, download firefox. This sort of thing graf initially is a self help and a trial and error scenario.

Agree entirely. Blades Player had much better content, was easier to navigate and faster.

Further evidence of the conclusion I arrived at around 20 years ago which was that, as a rule of thumb, all change is for the worse.

Works for me on Firefox so worth a try if you haven't already. I agree with some of your comments about the site content though.

edit: just tried it again and it hung following your link - the bouncing ball went away but the match report section stayed blank. Clicked "lineups" then "match report" again and it worked. Bit flakey eh?

Still no go. I've tried it in Firefox, Edge, Chrome and Opera. Summat is badly wrong here. A site like this should be tested to destruction before going 'live'. Anybody got suggestions where accurate line ups and stats. can be found soon after each game? I've totally given up on the OS.
