Ok from a wednesday fans point of view, Sheffield United's relationships with our sister clubs Ferencvaros, Chengu Blades, Hong Kong United, Central Coast Mariners and more recently a deal currently being broker with Estudiates may mean very little. Even United fans might wonder why McCabe is investing so much time and effort into clubs other than his own Sheffield United, however.........

Last week Sheffield United brokered the first in what should prove to be many lucrative deals to seal investment in the club. 188Bet.com are an extremely large and well known Gambling company who have links with 6 premiership clubs, however due to The Blades increasing stance in the global market, Sheffield United have become the first club outside of the top flight to seal a deal with the Gambling giants.

A spokesman for 118bet.com said: "We are extremely delighted to have penned a deal with Sheffield United Football Club, we already have links with several premiership clubs, however securing this deal with Sheffield United was very important for us as we feel the club hold massive importance in our efforts to become a global brand what with the clubs partnerships with other clubs around the world, we are very excited about our agreement with the club".

Very interesting, and if true very good news

Drove past the lane earlier....... and notices on the back of the stadia (Away end) facing Bramall Lane 2 new advertising hoardings for bet188.com

That Andy Scott is a busy guy aint he. Hows he find time to manage Brentford as well?

This is a pet hate of mine. BDTBL is looking more and more like a fucking estate supermarket as every day goes by. Why do they have to put posters, banners and placards all over the bloody ground? It just looks so tatty and classless - and that's just the outside! You would think that the Commercial Department alone would be raking in a fortune with all the advertising space sold.

I noticed bet188.com had a place on the board at the press conference yesterday as well.

it's not as bad as leeds who for a long time had a massive advertising sheet across one stand saying "the big yellow skip company" all you could see on the m621 approaching leeds was a big yellow ground with that on it. made me chuckle every day, not sure if it's still up.

It was weird not seeing a Laddies betting place inside the ground, but the 188bet stall on the BLUT looked a bit tacky.

I agree, it looks terrible. Then again it's just symptomatic of this countries general attitude to appearance. Ripping down nice old buildings and erecting shockingly bad eye sores. While giving listed status to depressing dumps. I sound like Prince Charles. What was it he once said, a monstrous carbuncle?
