Speed now 4/6, seems all the early money is for him. Always a volatile market but keep your eye on it, as soon as there's a big move, the word is out, ask Mr Rednapp :)

Sabella would be a good shout. If he's good enough to replace Maradona he has to be good enough to replace Blackwell!!

Do you honestly think Sabella would be interested in managing us when his stock is as high as it is. Linked with Argentina job.....takes over at Bramall Lane!

Speed now at 4/6
Brown 4/1
O'Driscoll now 8/1

Has Brown said something on Goals on Sunday or summat for his odds to shorten!

Please, please no. Please give me a manager who we can support without effort from the off.

My thoughts entirely, we'll never get a manager we all agree with but I can't see Brown uniting the fans and bringing the missing ones back. If they are looking at someone to bring Speed on I suppose it makes sense, they were together at Bolton. Maybe the thoughts are Speedo as No.1 with an experienced back-up in Brown ?

Not in a million years, Brown is his own man and has had success in his own right, never would he go back to being a number two, well except at the likes of Man Utd.

I think it would be Brown manager, Speedo coach, Allardyce as DoF. Direct play heaven... :)

Paul fucking Hart! the board can't split the fans over the new man. Hart, ex pig scab and dour cant!

bookies running scared again where are the odds for Megson ?

Megson?...

Mcabe wants the fans to return and there's no way he would put the Ginger ninja in charge as that would have the opposite effect .

I like to consider myself generally enthusiastic and optimistic about the Blades but please... please.. please not Megson, not Shearer, not Chris Kamara or Vinny Jones (Vinny fucking Jones?!) Just a proven or promising up and coming manager who's not universally hated by the entire fan base.

Vinny's only been put in the betting for a joke, just like Sabella and John sodding Barnes .... DON'T PANIC! That said, there wasn't a show for Glyn early this afternoon .... where DID that come from :D

Sabella a joke? What are you on? Would love to see him back. And he's gettable.

In what sense of the word is he gettable? He'll be waiting for the Argentinian FA to make their mind up before he considers a skint club in the english championship as the next step after managing a team to the South American championship.

Because he might well not get the Argentina job, because wages are higher here, because he has very fond memories of United, because is personally delighted that he is remembered so fondly by Blades and because promotion with United would put him in line for some of the most lucrative manager jobs in football.

Like i said, he'll be waiting for the argentinian FA to make their mind up. Which won't happen in the next couple of weeks.

Agree with that - not read anything to even say he's left Estudiantes? He's favourite on a shortlist to replace Crazy Diego and if that doesn't come off what's to say he'd take what must surely be a massive pay cut and a drop in club size and status to take the job on offer at the United? Would be an amazing coup if it happened but it's filed under F for Fantasy with Mr O'Neill.

Perhaps if we went after Maradona first, Sabella would see it is a sign :D
