Talking about Nudger. I have just finished reading The Evergreen inRed and White by Steven Kay. It is about Rab Howell and Needham as captain of the team features quite a bit and is portrayed as someone who influences play and tactics more than a captain might be expected to do today. I really enjoyed it and recommend it for ypuir holiday reading. as well as being an interesting read it provides a tantalising glimpse into life as a footballer and generally at the turn of the 19 Century
