What makes anyone imagine Arsenal are even thinking about Wilder as their next manager?
The Gunner's radar will be cast far and wide, and the thought of a still unproven Championship manager being appointed as Wenger's successor is risible.
If there was any justice we'd see the appointment of Sam Allardyce as Arsenal's next manager, with a 10-year contract, and complete control of all team matters. No one would question Sam's absences as he negotiates another unsavoury contract, so effectively Sam would be in his element........well we can at least dream. The first 5-10 years of Wenger's tenure probably gave Wenger the job security that eventually came to rest like a weight around the club's neck. From the high's of creating a team that played with imagination, that achieved so much domestically, I think Wenger's been treading water for about a decade. That's probably a bit harsh as Wenger managed to secure a top 4 position for his team for several season's, something that should be viewed as a great achievement given the changing face of professional football.
As for who will replace Arsene? Either Joachim Low or Diego Simeone. Simeone would shake the place up and incentivize the squad to recapture the winning spirit.
