Yesterday was the worst day of my football life, couldnt sleep or eat.
Am feeling a bit better now, actually looking forward to next season, we will win more, cheaper tickets and no plastic fans.
After yesterday like myself i bet a few few asked yourself... why do we do it to ourselves?... cos we are true fans thats why we see highs and lows we go up and down, we get more pleasure from winning a game cos it means more to us, and then you get supporters worried cos they missed out on europe... makes me laugh, they really havent got a clue what its like
We will bounce back.
I hope Warnock does walk but if he does he can walk with his head held high for what he has done for us, 8 years ago when he took over we were going bust and fighting relegation in the championship... he promised us top flight football and he gave it us, unfortunately he was a bit out of his depth and our away form let us down.
As for the board and all this Tevez stuff, part of me would like them to drop it and let us concentrate on getting back, but part of me does believe that the Premier League messed up not with the initial business but the 2nd offence of signing a player (Tevez) when the transfer window was closed... not sure why West Ham were allowed to do that, and something needs to be done to stop it from happening again. Thats the only reason they are fighting for justice, no one thinks we will be in the premiership next season, everyone has accepted its over.
Anyway thats an issue for the PL to sort out, I dont blame west ham, I'm just saying thats why us and 7 other clubs are preparing to make a battle out of it.
Basically we didnt get relegated because of one game, we simply werent good enough over the season, I personally believe our squad was good enough and have seen some great football from us this season, I also think our board is great and the money coming into the club the past 3 seasons set us up for good times.... think thats why it hurts, cos everyone beleived little sheff utd were going places, unfortunately we didnt have a manager to keep us up for just one season... thats all we were missing. 4-5-1 at most away games isnt the way to go.
Special thanks to the fans tho home and away this season we have been fantastic, none stop singing and I have enjoyed some great days out.
To sum up... no sour grapes from me, i've calmed down, tears have stopped and am getting ready for hulse and stead ripping championship defences apart.
Woohoo rant over!!!
Bring on Colchester.... cos the blades go marchin on on on!
