I have happy memories of this classic game 30 years ago today. Look at the quality of the goals! That season was my favourite in the top flight under Bassett , we genuinely looked like a top flight team and there were some really good performances.

I listened to that one on the Radio (Simon Clark doing the commentary). Somewhere, I've got an old cassette recording of the full Radio Sheffield commentary for an away game at Forest, but I think it was the following season - the one where we relegated them and sang "There's only one Brian Clough".

My second away match, was sat right behind that Gannon volley. My first being away at Leicester in 1990 as a ten year old. I remember being on the back row of that tiny stand at Filbert Street and being amazed at the amount of yellow on 3 sides of the ground.
