I'm absolutely delighted with that, and proud too. They all fought like fuck and barely made any mistakes. Then the quality inevitably shone through. Not only did we get the all important result this time, we did it in style and were comfortable.

It was a fully committed performance from back to front and this time we got the result we deserved.

On top of that it was a big crowd and a good atmosphere, and it felt really good to be a part of it. I'm certain it pushed the players on that bit more and I'd love it to be like that on a regular basis.

4 points from these 2 games is a good return and we all would have taken it.

We've proven in the last week that we're by far and away the best team in the division. Scunny and Bolton are nowhere near us.

And John Fleck... Jesus Christ. What an absolute gem. But he's not the only one, they were all excellent today. Defensively faultless and also unlucky not to have scored more than 2. Commitment, fight, quality. It was all there in every one of them and that's a reflection of the manager.

Today was a massive result and I'm now convinced nothing is going to stop us. We're even turning up on the big occasions now!

We have quality players, a fantastic manager and a flawless mentality. It would take something remarkable to stop us getting promoted now. It would even take something stupid to stop us winning the league.

It's not over yet but it looks like it's finally happening - we're punching our weight again, and we'll get out of L1. It's a great feeling.

Chris Wilder, thank you.

After reading that I reckon you've had leg over finally. ;)

I know I got some hammer for my assessment of the performance last week, but I genuinely think every player out there was better than they were against Scunny, and they were by no means bad then!

It's great when you come away from a game thinking all 11 players played well. Superb stuff.

Amen.

In the best part of 40 years watching us, I honestly believe this is most enjoyable team to watch, third tier or not.

A terrific manager with a terrific attitude, who's one of us, and some wonderful players who play the right way.

The only criticism is that we don't put teams to bed as comfortable as we should too often. What a sole criticism to have!!!!

It was like Ali v Foreman, the rumble in the jungle.

We let them punch themselves out without any real drama or danger, then slowly our superior class and fitness shone through, I think we won at a canter in the end. I could have played in goal for us today. UTB.

Overplayed it too much in front of goal. Won't be going again. :D

At least twice they attempted crosses when they should have just smashed it at goal (with the less than formidable Mark Howard in goal). Useless wankers.

I can't see us sustaining that in our next home game. I hope I'm wrong and Blades are starting to actually believe.

Well Charlton are not going to bring anything like the numbers of away fans as the last two weeks.

Hopefully it may still be around 23-25 k

So basically when we win were great and when we lose we're shit
I can see us doing a Southampton /norwich/bournemouth

Well no one who attended the last two games will be put off from going to this one. Think it'll still be above 25k. Especially if we get good results from the next three away games.

As for that game itself, it's looking better now - Charlton are having a dip and it looks like they'll have little to play for.

For me this is the most exciting team, to watch, since the 70/71 side.
Wonderful time to be a blade,
I think that they may be more exciting.
The 70/71 side had some outstanding individuals and did play good football, but they never really played the outstanding passing game that the present team are playing (although to be fair, probably only Leeds and Liverpool played the possession game then, and even they were boring compared to our way)
Games back then were more end-to-end slugfests compared to the modern game.
Not going to criticise the 70/71 side because they gave me lots of pleasure all over the First Division (as was) but today's team play with a quality of individual ball-control, initiative and speed of thought that just wasn't seen from an entire set of players back then.
I think it's a great time to be a blade, again!
