PS / Grecian - both really fair points and I'm not averse to the team getting criticism where it's deserved. Players and managers get paid a lot of money so they need to be able to take some stick where it's warranted. I'd also like to see the right youngsters getting a chance - I'm looking forward to seeing Whitehouse, Tonne, Harriott etc...
We need a balance though and Saturday's team included 5 young/inexperienced lads in the starting 11 so there's a limit to how many more Danny is going to throw in - we'll have to be patient to see some of them come through.
I do want to see Danny given support for what he's trying to achieve though. Since he came to the club, I've re-discovered my enthusiam for watching the Blades because we're finally trying to play in the right way. He's had to start again to an extent this season so I'm just hoping that people will give him and the team the time to find their fluency and start really performing.
I know that some on here will never forgive him for his blue and white days but I know for a fact that the end of last season hurt him as much as anything else in his career and that he's desperate to give us success this season.
As for the punctuation - fair cop ! :)

N0 6 worst you have ever seen? Can't agree with that at all. He was no where near our worse player yesterday. For that take a pick from numbers 19,11,2,16, and 29 with a nod to numbers 5 and 15

Between us we've got eight as rubbish.

Good job there are eleven in the team

Wasn't yours I was on about!

To be honest I didn't get all the way through your post because my head was hurting after "translating" the one Dubbers did :)
sorry grecian, but when I get on my high horse, tend to type rather than look at what i'm posting, agree everyone is open to citicism, once its constructive, sorry to everyone if posts go on a bit, gift of the gab I suppose, comes with living over here for 30 yrs, agree that this is the correct forum for debate/opion,better than booing at the lane getting on players back etc, anyone have a problem with my english, blame them folk at norfolk park comp.or whatever its called now.should that be capitals for Norfolk:)

A full stop now and again would be nice, can you afford them in Eire? :)

Dont think anyone is being unrealistic, we're in the third division and expectations will always be high at a big club. Most of the comments are plain and simple observations that we were poor and we were. I for one dont expect us to easily roll anyone over, some games are going to be difficult and a lot of teams will try to do what Bury did by defending and trying to hit us on the break.

I'm a realist and we wont beat everyone. I will however call it how it is and we drew at home to an ordinary side on Saturday because we were poor. Yes players were missing, yes we have new signings. Everyone has to deal with that this time of year so its not a valid excuse for a poor performance imo. Still behind Danny and the players but for what they all get paid I will criticise if I feel it is deserved. Saturday wasn't good enough, must do better.

Having watched that on Saturday, I had Bury down as less than an ordinary side. They looked p1ss poor and whilst it is correct teams aren't goner come and roll over for us, on that showing we should be getting the right result

We were poor. We have two strikers who at the moment show no inkling of forming a partnership. They seem to be too far apart, not able to play off each other. Whether that then causes a problem for the midfield or not I don't know, but key passes are almost non existant, with instead this constant sideways and backwards repeated over and over until it breaks down

The defence for whatever reason has lost it's solidity, looking decidedly dodgy on occasions

I'm hoping this is a blip rather than a bad run, but it is concerning

Last season after 6 games huddersfield had started like us,drawn too many including home with Bury and at Rochdale, bit of a hangover from missing out in the play off final, their fans more or less starting threads like this one, we were without Doyle and Flynn , changing the team more than we,d likeI think well be 10 to 15 games before we really get into our stride , no need to panic, just be patient

I tend to agree at the moment even though I do like the look of both players. They both have the potential to do very well for us and can argue that they've been scoring. I do think our build up play breaks down a little too easily at times though because they haven't quite found that chemistry in terms of being able to link up. My gut feeling is that they are too similar and tend to make the same runs.

We need to play one of the other forwards off them. Either someone combative like Cresswell (Porter can do a similar job) or someone who can come short and carry like Miller. We also have Kitson, whom I think could play with any of the other strikers....he's a good link up man for the midfield to aim at. In terms of choosing between Blackman and Cofie, I would be happy with either. We're spoilt for choice up front really, we just need to find the right balance.

I don't think any of this can come as a shock or surprise. We all said the squad lacked creativity and width and losing Squinny was another blow in this department. A hell of a lot of Ched's goals came from out of nothing and without wanting to go all cliche, goals change games and had we scored early on yesterday it would have been a different game.

We're doing OK, dominating possession and not conceding too many which is always a start point, particularly when you've got new players in the squad but we need a couple of players to make the difference between doing OK and being up there because it looks, even at this stage, as though the League is there for the taking.

The key at the moment is not getting on the players or manager's backs.

The key at the moment is to not play players out of position when we have suitable youth players that have been promoted to the senior squad who deserve a chance even if it is just for one or two games.

As discussed elsewhere though, we have to trust the management / coaches who see them all competing against each other day in day out.

I love it when the excuse is the comparison with 'Udders last year.
Just take the odd 45 goal striker out of the equation and you have us to a tee.
Not sure we even have a Novak in our equivalent parallel universe.

By 15 games in, carrying on in this manner, I think think we may be too far back to make an impression within 46. Confidence will be dented and the size of our crowd will become a millstone around the necks of the inexperienced lads because the negativity on match day will transfer to the pitch so they will be shit scared of taking any positive risks at all. This will result in even more desperately boring games without any chances created.

Goals win games not how many passes your back four can make before they wait for the opposition to form their defensive line up and then spunk away possession with a long punt upfield to no one in particular.

You get goals by stretching the opposition formation and getting players into situations where they have 1 on 1 battles - and have the self belief and tenacity to win them - to set up team mates to score. I just don't see that we have any players with such belief (desire or ability) to win those individual battles. Lowton and Quinn were certainly the main ones from last season - lost and not replaced, as we all know. Only Flynn for me shows any promise of creating anything from a wider positions.

Form the centre McDonald needs willing runners to get into the spaces he passes into. If they are all static or happy to tread water and watch what goes on around them then there is absolutely no threat attainable from McDonald's talents.

huddersfield lost players,Rhodes wasnt first choice the season before was on the bench in their 3-0 win here
goals win games yes , but why panic like mad when we draw a derby
6TH AND UNBEATEN AFTER MISSING OUT ON THE PLAY OFFS is a steady start ,
we still have lost 1 game at mk dons since the 6th of March
Yes theres no Ched, but the defence has sorted itself out and theres still the players that scored the other 50 /60 goals Ched didnt score squinny apart

Yeah and right up to May 1945 Hitler thought he would win the war  sorry but if anyone thinks we will win this league they are as deluded as a S6 pig.
