I was thinking about this in the bath today. There have been a lot of people saying they're not buying season tickets until we have a change of manager which sounds like a pretty solid way to protest... so long as the club know this is the reason.

Given the harsh economic times we're in at the moment the reduction of season tickets could (and probably will) be put down to people not being able to afford season tickets.

If you're not buying a season ticket purely because of the manager let the club know; return your renewal application form back to the club with a letter explaining how long you've had an ST but why you're not renewing. Without the club knowing why people are renewing any protest remains mute.

It would probably be a good idea to write to the various directors of the club to make sure the message gets across.

They'll probably think people stop buying because of the GCB lyrics on the big screen

Didn't Forest fans get rid of Platt this way? Seem to remember they sold about 2000 ST's, then sacked him and sold another 10000 in 24 hours.

Don't think there's the same level of militancy in South Yorkshire though.

much as i want cheap as chips to fook off ........ i don't want anybody to get the sack !

McCabes the problem not cheap as chips !

Pity they didn't show the same level of militancy during the miner's strike.

Ooops, did I just say that...?

Well...I was about to say that the concept of there being a greater level of militancy in Nottinghamshire than South Yorkshire doesn't exactly stand the historical test!

The problem is it's a bit of an expensive principle to make (not quite as expensive as going on strikes for months, but expensive in football terms!) We all refuse to renew season tickets until Blackwell's gone. Then he goes after the discounted renewal deadline, and we all have to renew at the higher price! Actually, maybe that's the plan....

A lot of what I've watched this season has not been pleasurable. And now to add insult to injury, the price has gone up. Not by a huge amount, but it has never-the-less gone up.

Currently I have a season ticket and I can afford another one. However, I doubt that I will renew.

If the price remained static I probably would renew. If it dropped I definitely would renew. But a higher price combined with poor football is not much of an incentive.
