After reading of the idiots who marred a great day for real Blades supporters, I would like to share a little information regarding a real Blade and a true gentleman.
The was a thread on here last offering 2 Wembley tickets from a Blade who resides in Cambridge, known on here as POD.
Having promised my grandson that I would take him to Wembley but scuppered from getting tickets as I was unexpectedly hospitalised for almost 3 weeks while they were on sale,. As season ticket holders we would normally have got them without too much difficulty.
I answered the thread and was delighted to be offered the tickets. As it happened, I was unable to travel on the doctors' insistence. My son then stepped in to save the day and took my grandson (his nephew).
The tickets were duly exchanged for the cash payment agreed out side Wembley but a real surprise and treat was in store for them when they got into the ground. The seats were within Wembley Club and to quote my son were the best facilities, entertainment. seats and views he had ever enjoyed in 36 years of following the blades (he first attended aged 2).
The upshot of all of this tale is that our new friend POD only charged £30 per ticket which must have been £250 or so less than the going rate as we were real Blades.
POD, you are a top Blade and man, thank you for giving my son and grandson the best football day of their lives (their own words)
Some real Blades are magnificent
