9 points, still a ways to make up with a half season to go
but got a hard fought , win, though not sparkling , the 6 or 7 half decent players we have got a result in spite of several players being carried , or just a plain liability.
Was my first live game for a while, and the problems stick out a mile, turgid midfield , clumsy defenders , but if we we can beat Coventry , whos best chances came from our early present giving, and we actually finished the stroinger side, theres the shoots of a recovery bubbling under the surface,
The whole club , directors manager fans programme sellers know theres great need for fresh faces in January and some hankies needed as we wave goodbye to several , between 2 and 8 players who could move on.
Once we stop being our own worst enemy, through playing , out of neccesity , players for differing reasons failing to meet a certain level, all of us could offer 5 candidates for a travel pass , some may differ, but once sorted , win v 2nd and draws at top and third shows its not impssible to claw 2 or 3 points a month back, with the right recruitment.
Any ground we make up between now and mid January will be a bonus
then we can move our hands from quater to three to ten to four , and tackle the corner

its not rosy yet but weve put out a lot of manure we should flourish in the Spring

bottom half to top half in one day
its how you percieve it
do you sell funeral plans ?
with your demeanour youd do well

Might have done a 3-point turn on Sunday. Made a very decent side look pretty damn ordinary, & started getting a bit of a buzz going with the crowd.

Saturday's vital now. Two wins on the spin, going into a visit to out-of-form Wigan ("Smash the League" Wigan, no less), could mean a whole new feeling about the place going into the new year.

Spot on there Alf. I know that many were alarmed by Sunday's performance but I personally enjoyed watching us hold our own in a scrap and come out on top for once.

We owe Scunny one I reckon and I have had a feeling for weeks we will turn Wigan over.

The picture could be a whole lot rosier on Boxing Day evening.

man city chelsea and barcelona have all beat coventry at some point
Well maybe not barcelona but you take my point
We are the 4th best team in world football currently

We've got the indicators on, hazard warning lights flashing away because we've broken down!

The AA opened the bonnet and it's burst into flames. He's also mentioned that we've got four flat tyres and no spare...

Oh and the steering wheels just been nicked...

And the gear stick.

We've got lovely carpets and seats though

But it's just started raining.

To add to all that the police have just turned up and are questioning the spouse lad in the back.

And the ambulance is on the way for the other one

and just as we have had the driveway resurfaced too - flipping typical eh?

That would make 5 in total then mate :)

On a more serious note, if we win all those i have no doubt that alcoblade would bare his arse on the town hall steps shortly followed by Barney offering him out whilst doing so :)
Won't happen of course but if it did Barney would still be saying Adkins is shit cos that is what Agent Barney has been sent here to do.

For once I'm going to agree with blade too long. I don't know what it is but I sense a change in attitude in the team, I don't think we will be a soft touch like we were against Shrewsbury again and it might not be pretty for a while but something tells me the tide is turning. We might not make the top two but we will be in the play off's I think, and if we are we will win them.

Yeah fuck it, I too am sick of feeling down about the Blades. Maybe the tide is starting to turn ? I'm happy to go with it for the next few games; I may even change my avatar back to something a little more positive :D

just saying big clubs become big clubs by winning lots of games ugly
how often do you see them snatch games theyve been clobbered in
Charlton got out of this division winning very ugly
but did they care
And Shrewsbury got back into league one with quite a few ugly wins
hope they are better easier to handle for you as you dont seem to get the point
I have never offered the opinion we are like any of the top 6
but
they have 11 players and kick a ball like we do

Calm down metalblade
