he is far far too slow

Midfield should be
Lundy / sander / fleck in the short term - fleck needs to up his game massively

we have a more in-depth squad but our first 11 has not been improved - yet .

I think tonight is a blessing in disguise and Chris will act - up front we are so poor but that’s due to slow buildup (Norwood) and lack of class and technical ability

Great long range passing covers up a multitude of sins. Norwood is very much a rhythm player though so expect him to improve in a few games. Egan was completely exposed by Norwood on every defensive transition. We're lucky he's not suspended.

Don’t agree tonight, had a couple of awful set pieces but overall I thought he did well.

Berge needs to start instead of Lunny and Lunny should usually replace Norwood for the last twenty minutes whether it’s to give the midfield more energy or if we’re winning Lunny is good to arrive in the box following a counter attack

I agree that Norwood (along with most of the team) was poor tonight, but he is 10x the player lunny is. Regardless of the fact that lunny doesn't actually want to be here long term. If 1 comes out it's lunny. Although I think we all agree that berge is better at CM than Rcm but we don't have anyone else to play there atm.

His set-pieces tonight were dogshit. He is too often, too sloppy and loses concentration.

However, he was the most important player in a team that massively overachieved last season.

Seems a bit harsh to sell him off the bad of a poor night, doesn't it?

Baldock crossing was dire. Lunny should have stayed on his feet. Rammy possibly could have done better. But after giving Wolves a 2 goal start we did OK. We matched them Norwood was absolutely fine, and no way deserves to be thrown under the bus like this. I didn't think anyone of our players were outstanding but we certainly weren't rubbish. I don't see this instant need to castagate someone.

Sander cameo great to see he oozed class.

We were poor in a lot of areas tonight
Lundstram was dire first half he must have had a bollocking at half time as he was better
Norwood is not involved in a lot of build up play anymore because we have taken to hoofing it up to McBurnie
why we have done that I dont know because its not effective. Norwood gets the ball when it comes back so being slow doesnt really matter as the opposition has already got men behind the ball
Dont get me started on McGoldrick he was the worst player on the pitch ok I know hes not trained but dont put him on the bench FFS

I disagree, he was amongst the most composed in there.

He cannot control the fact that there isn't a striker outlet to go to, or that the wing backs were pinned back, or that the midfield is flat and lacking a 10. Often his only outlet is a pass that stalls for time or Flecky trying to do something.

How can you be so blatantly wrong??? Most accurate passes in the game with 50 (that's both teams) and a passing accuracy of 91% according to fotmob, but he is the problem...... Hmmmm

I don’t think Norwood is the “problem” but I think berge deserves to show how good he can be at CDM he has looked very good at RCM how about we play him in the position we paid £20 million for him in


Also all these moaners scapegoating lunny need to realise an on form lunny at RCM is on of our most important players

I saw 3 or 4 occasions where Norwood got the ball, looked up to play one of those raking passes, and saw no-one available to pass to. Short pass out wide was the only alternative. His set-pieces weren't good, but were anyone else's any better? Certainly not Lundstram's.
Personally I don't think Norwood is "the problem".
