Surely it’s about time we get a decent chant going for Norwood? It’s been ages since I’ve heard anyone singing the ‘time flies by’ chant, which was never the catchiest anyway.

It's a common thing.

I mean, Dylanesque it never will be, but making a football chant up doesn't require much lyrical dexterity.

Occasionally, there's a fucking doozy which even Simon and Garfunkel would be proud of - the Adebyor song for example - and ones which there will never be a remix or an update like GCB, but usually S24SU chants are more Cro-Magnon level thugspeak round a blazing fire with a stag on it than carefully crafted agreeable tunes one could sing heartily with your grandson on your shoulders in the Family Stand

The lyrics are clearly Ivor Novello inspired so I assume it’s your intention that they should be sung to the tune of ‘We’ll Gather Lilacs in the Spring Again ‘.

‘Time flies’ song was sung at Preston (only away game I’ve been to in years), and Ollie acknowledged it and looked like he loved it. Players look to me like they thrive off hearing hearing the support of themselves personally from fans. We should do it more.
