Just as a general observation, is there any other team sport in the world where opponents try to cheat each other as much as in football ?
The amazing thing is they change managers, players come, players go, but they remain one of the most shameless teams in football.
Most sports are fairly governed by strong referees ours are s disgraceJust as a general observation, is there any other team sport in the world where opponents try to cheat each other as much as in football ?
I was at the Spain v Poland Olympic Final. First player to go down dead - blood wagon called - staff were told to load him on. Carted off, jumped off when he reached the touchline. Ref ignored him for a couple of minutes. Soon stopped it.I know what they should do. They should ensure the poor dear leaves the pitch and stays off for at least 5 minutes in order for them to get the proper treatment such an injury deserves.
Exactly. It seems to be ingrained in the club; it’s in the DNA.
It’s a club that for at least 20 years now has assembled a remarkably large number of hateful individuals. Remember those little turds McVeigh and Mulryne back in the 2000’s, who used to cheat and wind things up every time they came. Or cretins like Huckerby and Roberts. And that’s before we even get to the cheats in the Farke/Smith era.
Fortunately, on what I saw today, Norwich won’t be going up this time. Even at 0-2, I was confident that we’d get back. The only surprise to me was that we didn’t go on and win it.
They look brittle and far less organised than recent visitors such as Birmingham.
Had the correct team been selected at the outset, we’d have buried them comfortably.
Get your retaliation in first and make a complaint to the club about said toffs in the directors box.I've sat in front of the director's box for 20 years. The only fans we ever have trouble with behind us are Norwich. They were at it today, gobbing off before the game had even started, thinking they were summat because they were sat on a (marginally) padded seat.
Thankfully managed to get a message passed on so a steward was sent to keep an eye on them - they were trying to antagonise all through the first half.
Had to laugh when the penalty got saved. A few people turned round to give some back and a middle-aged woman whose red-faced husband had been trying to provoke something all match gave a shrill "excuse me! Language! There are children present!"
I pointed out that a) no one said anything that their group hadn't said first and b) it was a football match.
Fully expecting we'll all get a letter reminding us about our conduct againwho were we playing the last time we got a letter?
Oh yeah, Norwich.
He's a vicar now ( mulryne )Exactly. It seems to be ingrained in the club; it’s in the DNA.

Was it Delia on the cooking sherry again ?I was the one who asked for someone to have a word at half time because they were really winding people up and I could see someone trying to kick off with them.
I've been a directors' box guest at away grounds and while you're fine to be clearly supporting the away side, standing up and chanting "how shit must you be" and calling opposition players "dirty cunts" while surrounded by that team's fans just isn't on. You're supposed to be representing your company or team, not being a nob and expected to be cosseted because you're sat there.
They were happy to give it out, not so pleased when they conceded and got some back.
Formula One.
I say this every week, but it's soft refs that allow it. Book time wasting and and shithousery and it stops. Yes they're particularly awful but they'll all do it while it works.
If you can go down clutching your head and the game will stop for two minutes with 1 minute added on for it, they're going to. Something also has to change in the laws to stop flagrant abuse of the "head injury" rule.
In what context ?Formula One.
In what context ?
You lot seem to love to complain that others whinge and whine . Reading the comments on here evidences a woeful and laughable lack of self awareness that you are doing precisely the same thing. Blades exceptionalism at play.
I’m more thinking of players v players on the pitch. I’m sure the drivers aren’t purposely ramming each other off the track. I know it has happened the odd time but the football player’s shithousing is going on week in week out in most matches, especially in the top 2 divisions. The amount of rolling around at the slightest of touches is getting embarrassing. In every context. Back handers to the governing body. Cloak and dagger "investigations" into manipulations of the rules and weak as piss punishments for rule breakers.

Difference is that your highly paid players tried to con the referee with their whining and whinging. Us having a moan on our forum about your tactics doesn’t changed the outcome of the game. You lot seem to love to complain that others whinge and whine . What about their 'fans' though?Imagine supporting a team that pretend to be injured, assaulted and on deaths door all to con the referee. It‘s every time we play them, what a set of bed wetters
Two nil and you fucked it up, two nil and you fucked it up etc. Safe journey home you twatYou lot seem to love to complain that others whinge and whine . I’ve attended plenty of games and had absolutely no problems whatsoever with the opposition. You lot, however, are a complete disgrace. You lot seem to love to complain that others whinge and whine . That would have been his 2nd yellow. Referees don't have the balls to send off players for a yellow card foul, when they've already been yellow carded. Literally defeats the entire pointCantwell should have been booked for that pathetic dive in the box early in the 2nd half.
Freaked out because there was no livestock roaming free in the street. What about their 'fans' though?
Brilliant turnout from them, but Christ on a bike! How shockingly poor they were vocally with an away following like that. They sang a bit when they were in front. Any other fans with that away turnout would have the place rocking.
Pathetic tin pot carrot munchers!
