Following a good performance and a 2-0 win v Luton Chris unexpectedly dropped Jess who scored 2 and made other changes that were quite baffling and a lacklustre performance followed.
I hope he goes again with the team that totally dominated against Blackburn.
If Brewster is unavailable and Gus is fit then he should go with that. I would suspect that Gus would have got the nod anyway.
Robbo had a fine game on Saturday so should get the nod again ahead of Anel.
I know some will say players need a rest but a settled winning side is what's needed.
The odd change like Gus for Brewster or Anel for Robbo is fine but wholesale changes upsets the rhythm as it did v Leeds.
Go with the winning formula Chris........you know it makes sense.

I'm sure he will take great note of your opinion.

I expect a few changes, it’s worked well this season when we’ve made like for like changes, especially when we’ve got 3 games in 8 days.

The usual suspects fullbacks, wingers and number 10 will most likely get switched around and we’ll give those positions an hour.

Were night and day so far in terms of injuries

Robinson in for Anel...... and then what, start him in the derby too, if he does alright v Bristol? As if Souttar and Anel haven't been the main source of strength and proven to be resoundingly our best CB pairing?

Wilder needs to balance starting who's fresh after Saturday, with ensuring optimal condition of key players for the derby. It shouldn't be too difficult. It's a good gap to Sunday. I'd be benching JRS and Hamer to try and make sure they're spot on for Sunday

Ok this is a message board and all about opinions etc, but I must admit I do chuckle sometimes when I read fans talk about what a manager should or shouldn't do.

Chris Wilder has been in football virtually all his life, he knows the game and knows far more about the players than we "punters" do. He sees them every day in training - he knows their physical and mental capabilities and with that knowledge makes a judgement call on team selections. Sometimes he'll get it spot on, sometimes not and sometimes he'll be outdone by the opposition manager who's done one on us. And that my friends is football.

Agree with bringing Anel back, really wouldn’t bench JRS and Hamer if available, put out the best team we can, every point is as valuable as the next

There will 100% be changes tomorrow.

I'll expect Shackleton and McCallum to come in and probably Brooks for starters. Wilder will want to win tomorrow but he'll definitely have one eye on Sunday. It wouldn't surprise me if Peck started against Bristol too.

The main questions are will he stick with two up top, in which case does he stick with Moore and Brewster in order to save Campbell for the derby, or does he go with a lone striker, probably Brewster, to save Campbell and Moore for Sunday?

You do realise he's tinkered with a formation that has worked to a new one now that's resulted in two comfortable 2 nil wins. Hamer, Anel and Campbell all pushing strongly to start.

Isn't Blaster 1 yellow away from a ban? If so Peck will probably play tomorrow.

If this is true then Blaster should be rested 100%. Sunday is far more important and we must not take the chance of losing one of our most important players. I'd also bench Rak Saki and Hamer for safetys sake. However, I would bring Anel back as it's important to keep our defence together as much as possible.

I'd go with something like this....

Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Anel McCallum
Shackleton Souza Arblaster
Brooks O'Hare
Moore

Grind them down, kill them with our strong bench. Or don't. 0-0 would be fine too

Not sure what to expect tomorrow, which is probably a good thing given Liam Manning will be unsure n'all.

I know we all want to beat the pigs on Sunday, but they are so shite, should we really compromise the team tomorrow night, against a good team, just for this one game? 442, as against Blackburn, very similar in terms of ability. Win 2-0, then take the pigs apart. Some rotation, but don't fuck up tomorrow night just because we meet a shit pig team on Sunday.

I bet of all the derby games that it is possible to play worldwide, the Sheffield derby is the one that goes against the grain the most often.

Say nothing, let them do all the talking as what usually happens before every Derby, before United pummel them.
United fans getting too cocky is a very rare event, but when it happens it always ends in disaster

It puts the back 3 in again or it goes with 4 and shits it's sen.

I'm not such a big head to think I know better than CW. He's with the squad all week & knows who needs minutes on the pitch & who doesn't. He discusses this with our club Dr etc. I don't!

I know what you mean, it does seem logical to play the same winning team over and over but it’s not as simple as that.

You can’t keep playing the same starting 11 every match because it encourages injuries, severe tiredness later in the season and a lowering of morale amongst squad players.

A top manager plans ahead.

When ever we play mid week matches you can bet Wilder is planning his team for all 3 matches. He’ll consider the opposition style and weakness, which players are close to being banned if booked and which players are close to the red zone and need rest.

Think Robbo is slightly better than Anel at pure defending but you always worry he’s got a mistake in him, also Anel is quicker and less likely to be caught out on the break and Anel is better with his forward runs. Overall Anel is the better player and you should try to play your best side.

A lot of fans are capable of forming their own views based on the evidence of their own eyes and like to debate the manager's selections & tactics.
They can also see how a match is progressing and have their own ideas about changes which might benefit.
It's all part of feeling closely involved with the club you love , support and want to succeed.
Sometimes there'll be disagreement with what the manager has done and frustration with games like Leeds & Boro - but looks at what's happened since those games - the introduction of two strikers , the playing of at least one winger , a more positive setup and two solid victories.
Chuckle all you like at fans who want to air their preferences on players & tactics , but this forum is a great place to (politely) ventilate our views on the team we follow.
