No recollection of games, that you maybe should

Without boring everyone of the explanation why I came across this game, but I have no recollection whatsoever of our League Cup home game versus Arsenal in the 2007-08 season. I'm certain that I will have been there, but I am not sure why I've no recollection of what would have been a big tie (though the attendance was low).

From looking at that link, I had no idea that Gillespie played for us the season we were back in the Championship. I'd have put good money on him leaving when we got relegated.

I remember this game, we got dicked their midfield of Diaby, Silva & Diarra battered us - couldn’t get near them

Watching the highlights from last season and I drew a blank when it showed Bristol beating us at the Lane 3/2. I looked up the result and Sharp & Hogan scored for us, I can’t remember their goals.

Blades 3 Coventry 1 in April 1973 and Blades 2 Chelsea 1 in February 1975. For years I had been wondering if I was either or both games.

I was in a school athletics meeting in Leeds in April 1973, it rained all day also it was cold (didnt have tracksuit at all) just like during the Coventry game (can be seen in you tube). Until I saw the goals footage on the YTV video in 1993, I had always thought the athletics meeting was in a midweek but it might have been on the Saturday we played Coventry.

The Chelsea match in 1975 is a mystery to me, I was home from my boarding school at the time but couldnt remember being there, the goals, the John Hollins penalty save by Jim Brown and that it was the only time Gary Jones played a home game for us. I remember going to the Ball In ground during that week to watch the 1st team train.

I remember a fan running onto the pitch and throwing his season ticket at Bryan Robson during the game!
