No Promotion this season

It will seem strange for Chris Wilder this season without the excitement of a promotion chase,however,it got me thinking,will it be easier to avoid the bottom three in the premiership or to achieve automatic promotion from the championship,i wonder what he thinks would be the greater achievement ?

I'll not say "if" but rather when we stay up, I think CW can look on it as his greatest achievement thus far we are on an incredible ride & I don't want the bus to stop.

Staying in this division will be an achievement on it's own but one I do think will happen ( touch wood ). But good as Mr Wilder is, where we finish in future seasons like all the other clubs in this league, will depend on how well he is backed.
No one can complain about the backing he's had so far this season, it's been way better than any other manager who's ever taken us up here before, but in this league more than any other the owners will have to have deep pockets for us to be anything like safe and successful

Put it this way.

Last season I didn’t meet anyone who thought we’d finish top 2.
It seemed to be split either just inside the top 6 or just outside the top 6. I predicted we’d finish 6th.

Whereas this season most Blades I’ve spoke to expect us to stay up and perform much better than outsiders think.
Some have even suggested we might stay up quite comfortably. I’ve predicted 14th but under Wilder we always do better then I predict.

So for me....being promoted last season with that team would be a bigger achievement than staying up with this team.
Also don’t think the bottom 6 in the PL are that much better than the top 6 in the Championship.
