Ndiaye walks in every side in this league, aswell as alot of PL clubs.

Didn't someone post Norwood had the best stats in midfield aswell?

Done themselves no favours by having such a short shortlist.

If you put Ndiaye on there, who do you remove?

On one hand I don't see Brownhill being a World Cup player or coveted by the sort of teams that Ndiaye could be, however then you'd be having Burnley win the league at a canter yet having not a single player in there.

Gyokeres is an excellent player and Akpom has had a purple patch in his career that is hard to ignore.

No defenders either.

Not sure on the young player. McAtee has good stats. I'd suggest the Boro player buys into the hype a bit too. He's done well to hold down a spot in their team. That doesn't mean he's one of the absolute best.

Robins has done a good job, but he's hardly performed miracles. It's not like they are a tiny club. I'd say it's harsh to omit someone who also has a Cup Semi-final in there. Carrick also perhaps gets a special mention but given they have now fallen to 4th and 8 behind I'm not sure whether the panel have bought into the hype a bit on that. For me it should be those that finish automatic and then one wildcard as a special mention based on resources vs achievement.

Hopefully just adds motivation for the remaining games.

Strange no nominations for manager/player of 2023....its even stranger that the EFL are still dragging there arses over Dozys take over ??

Do they take into account the cup with it being an EFL award? It wouldn’t surprise me if they just ignored that completely.

Spot on.

Robins is the odd one. Coventry have been pretty shit all year and lie 9th. He may well have had some issues to deal with but who hasn't.

The lad at Luton would make more sense and Hecky.

As someone else says the short list should maybe have 5 names on it and give themselves a bit of wriggle room.

Personally, I couldn't eally give a fuck about these awards though, so nothing to get in a tiss about

EFL Supporter of the Season

Les Miller – Luton Town

Diane Blazier – Norwich City

Paula Martin - Reading
No Pitsmoor?
Not surprised though, as the sponsors could've had the
'Robin Hood of S6' in numerous categories. A very difficult
decision, I hope Mark Jnr isn't on the missing list.

Well according to some on here this season has been wank so I’m not surprised we’ve no nominations…

Can’t be seen to nominate clubs under umbongo…….. oh, wait a minute

Cant be seen to nominate a club about to appear at Wembley

Cant ge seen to nominate a player with at least 3 nominations for goal of the season

Cant be seen to nominate a club who’s owner took the previous Co owners pants down and shanked his wobbly bare arse in public and in front of his mates in the FA

Carricks Middlesborough will sweep the board

I don't particularly care about individual awards to players and managers or hall of fame type nonsense. The rewards football brings are 3 points, success and high pay they need no further pats on the back 🤷‍♂️

Michael Carrick – Middlesbrough

Think that list is fair, apart from swapping the Coventry manager for the Luton manager.
Kompany has to be in the list, playing great football and running away at the top of the league.
Carrick has to be in, when the voting was done, he's won almost every match he's been as manager, incredible job since taking over from Wilder.
Really think either Millwall or Luton are the next most impressive jobs, small clubs, low budget but both going for the play-offs.

I hope this is Illi and Hecky right now.

No surprise.
We're under embargo for not paying debts.
Our manager & captain make derogatory public comments about how games are reffed.
Not difficult to see why we are unpopular.

Absolute fucking joke to be honest, whether we are on the naughty step or not.

Bollocks to them anyway.

I think the manager list is fair.

Kompany, no explanation needed. Carrick has taken Boro from the relegation zone to the playoffs - though you could argue he has just taken them to where they would have expected to have been at the start of the season. Coventry couldn't play home games for about a month because a rugby tournament ruined the pitch, so throw in the ownership/financial issues and Robins has done well to get them anywhere near the playoffs.

But Iliman should obviously be one of the nominated players. Instead of either Gyokeres or Brownhill. I've not seen a player in this division who is even close to the same level as Ndiaye.

Wonder if they are thinking up ways of docking us points and kicking us out of FA cup?

Only one nomination for this award:

Longest time to approve / deny a takeover bid

EFL

I've never understood why this happens before the end of the season.

Manager wise for Championship. Kompany is a given. Coventry have done quite well too, but Luton have done even better with respected budgets.
And whilst Carrick has done well turning them around they now look less likely to be promoted than Luton potentially.

I can understand why Hecky's not got it a bit. We were expected to be up there and that's what we've done. Throw in some embargo stuff and it's easy to see.
If anything though makes the job Pauls done that bit better really.

As for no N'Diaye nomination, if he had scored another 5 goals he would probably have got one. But we all know how good he is at the min that's all that matters.

I find it strange that in both the manager of the season and player of the season the nominees are from the same clubs Burnley, Coventry and Middlesbrough.
