The only thing I can add to the above is that your dad must have been proud to have raised such an articulate and genuine person as your good self. At such a sad time, it takes a lot of heart and class to even think about coming on here, let alone posting such a touching tribute.

RIP fella, sad news indeed.

Sorry to hear of your loss Karen but pleasing to read that your Dad derived so much joy from chatting with other Blades.

Take care x

Echo all the thoughts of above. Another who joins the growing band of blades cheering us on from up above.
What a wonderful post from the heart. Your dad would be proud
RIP fellow bladesman

Rip to a fellow blade and a very touching tribute.

Firstly let me apologise if I have posted this on the wrong thread. My name is Karen & I am today closing down my dad's account, so if you were expecting one of his (what he would call) pearls of wisdom I apologise again
My dad wasn't in to social media, but when my son set him up on the forum he loved it. He was proud when people responded to his posts & told us how any people had liked them
Unfortunately he had a stroke before Xmas & we lost him to pneumonia a couple of weeks ago. He was a life long Utd fan & when he came out of work & money was tighter he would travel from Penistone on the bus to watch the kids play at the training ground to get his fix of United
The reason for the post is to say THANK YOU to anyone who commented on his posts or liked them it made him feel involved in his club & gave him something to talk about & be happy about
For him having two daughters wasn't ideal as neither of us were in to football, but we will always be United fans because that's how we were brought up. So from one Utd fan to many more, once again THANK YOU for making my dad happy
Karen
Your dad will live on in your heart and your memories, a fitting tribute to a fellow blade, love and condolences to you and your family.

Very sad news Karen. My condolences.

R.I.P. A lovely message and to Karen for having the thought and taking the trouble to post it at such a difficult time.

Thank you Karen for letting everyone know that your Dad has passed on. Losing parents is terrible and nothing I can say will ease your pain and sorrow. What will help is saying that us Blades feel your loss and hope that by you knowing this it helps you and your family. Pass on my condolences to the family and that your Dad may rest in peace

That brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for posting such a nice message at a difficult time. We blades are one big family and I'm sure he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

let's hope the boys do a job for him this season!

RIP

Condolences and thank you for taking time to write your note, it was very moving and showed once again what we all have in common on the forum

Nice for your Dad that we were top of the league when he passed away Karen. He will rest easier knowing we were 'on the up' at last.

As for you, why not 'get into' football in S2. Looking above you have about 180 ready made friends on here!

Best wishes.

I’m really sorry to hear of your loss Karen. Thank you for coming on and letting us know that collectively, us bunch of losers spending our time talking rubbish to strangers about football on the internet have brought a bit of joy to someone’s life. Most people wouldn’t have bothered to take the time. My thoughts are with you and your family. I know it must be a difficult time. All the best.

Sincere condolences, Karen - your dad was a true Blade and would be proud of the post you have written, with very good reason.

Rest in Peace

A very touching & thoughtful post. Our thoughts are with you & your family. Rest in peace, fellow Blade.
