I am saying we should play 4 or 5 friendlies

we clearly arn’t aiming to play 2 with no one getting a decent run out

we usually play at least 4 - why arrange only 3 when a 5 year old could have told you some would be in jeopardy…

we had a decent Spanish side lined up, that got binned, so we played a pub side.

we had Norwich lined up for that to get binned.

if we had another 2 which had been planned over preseason we would still have been able to play at least 3 games and Slav would have seen more of his squad.

Think you really need to focus, when di Slav arrive? when did his backroom staff arrive? as previously stated, if we had played warm up games without Slav or his 'team' this place would be full of people complaining it was pointless and god knows what would have happened if someone picked up an injury.
You can have a plan b, but you can't have a Plan X, Y or Z, the pandemic is affecting everyone, you are trying to complain, re losing a fixture against a decent Spanish team (no Portuguese) and replacing that with a pub team, its all that was available, now your complaining because Norwich have cancelled we haven't chosen a pub side, its a lose, lose with you

Firstly, if you read my post, you’d find out exactly what I think is piss poor. Secondly, at which point did I say the club didn’t want a fixture? That reply was just a load of bollocks.

SUFC are prepared, available and have the numbers to make up a fixture WITHOUT Norwich on Saturday. Make of that what you will.

Like I said previously, if we wanted a fixture, we could have one.

Far from ideal prep with a new manager who only came in a few weeks ago and will clearly need time to get his methods across (as we know from Watford and Fulham fans).

However, we're in unprecedented times and many teams will have had interrupted and far from perfect pre-seasons.

With no game this weekend it means that Mousse has to wait another week before he takes his boot off and limps off the pitch after an hour.

At this rate he's in danger of fulfilling his potential and thats just not acceptable

All that said, the break plays into his hand as he can't get properly match fit due to lack of friendlies, so its looking like he should be able to play 60 mins or less for until September, then he can get his injury working again.

Much prefer if you bow to Slavs superior knowledge, and give it a rest no one said the pre season is ideal, you seem to be trying to apply some weird logic, that doing X, guarantees Y, it doesn't if it was black and white that playing 5 games or playing 7.89 games in pre season was the reason for a successful season, every team would be doing the same.

I’ll be honest, I’ve no idea but maybe there were good reasons for it. Maybe it was difficult arranging fixtures with the type of clubs we wanted to play at the times we wanted to play them? Rather than just assuming the reason is because the people who run the club are a bunch of fuckwits who lack your foresight?

I dont think there have been any behind closed doors games based on Freemans interview about only having a small amount of minutes under his belt.

IF we start of poorly then this will rightly be highlighted as one of the causes. I just don't understand how we can't get any fixture on short notice given all the other games being called off, with many of them only an hour or two away.

Yes, I also picked up on Freemans comment about his and the other players lack of minutes, now with no game tomorrow it's even worse.
I think we need to expect a slow start to the season until players get more game time. Hardly ideal and you do need question the lack of contingency planning.
